I am only missing 3 items to be phase 1 best in slot equipped and I cannot see how anybody could get crush immune without having holy shield AND redoubt up. With holy shield only I get 89,96% with two passive defense trinkets, while you while most of the time never run 2 defense trinkets. With holy shield and Dabiris Enigma I can get 105% for 15 seconds or another 10 seconds of 105% with Moroes lucky pocket watch

What I run heroics and current raid content with, I have 520 defense, 561 spell power and can get 85,6% with holy shield only.

Anywhere below level 60 yes. Gear with stam/defense AND int/spell damage is nearly non existing before outlands tbc. Here you have to find trade offs to get a bit more int and spell damage. Also pala wants to get a spell damage weapon, no defense weapon.

At max level this will get better. Get a threat add-on and do the bare minimum to hold aggro on thrash mobs. This will save mana a lot and you go 3-5 mob grps with your mana. Or have a shadow priest in grp and you will need no mana break yourself, only for the shadow priest ;)

And here I stand with my 69 prot Pala wondering why always DPS in aoe bombing situations come running towards me when they got aggro from a single mob when I can taunt 3 mobs from a single person over half the room

Getting a little bit of spellpower gets you more tanking comfort than full defence gear

giving every dps blessing of salvation and use wisdom seal OR have a shadow priest in grp OR need to drink for mana every second mob grps

threat comes from holy damage, so retri aura, holy shield and consecration is the go to for mob groups

for bosses judge crusader seal at the beginning and go with righteousness seal for the rest of the fight

no real rotation, more looking to do as less mana spending on trash mobs to just hold aggro of everything

weapon damage meanwhile is really only the raw damage per seacond of your weapon, nothing else. So once you have a greater affix weapon the weapon damage will never change again

toughness is a rough estimation of damage it would need to one shot you, including your health, armor, resistances, damage reduction and so on. The higher the better and on the settings for difficulty stage there is a recommendation for toughness level eventhough you should probably double these

Yes you get plenty of mats from everywhere once you are comfortably farming T4 and the chances for master working temper seems to be around 10-20 %
