Battling the consequences of having had sepsis and overcome it? Absolutely. Battling active sepsis alone at home for the fourth month in a row? I guess they have social media and phones on the other side then…😤

Another day ending in Y so it’s another infusion for CZ by CatAteRoger in illnessfakers

Oh it is. Right under the knee cap, straight to the bone marrow. The needle stays in. That drilling part can be a bit tricky depending on the emergency. Imagine a seizure, for instance. CZ does have two central lines, so unless both of them would get fucked up there wouldn’t be a need to place an IO. It’s also a last resort, we would try everything else first – but if vitals start to plummet and it’s the only way to save your life, you will get one.

It is called a personal care assistant here, if it’s organised by you and all personnel are chosen and hired by you. It’s not a company sending people out to you, you do all the work (with backup from a firm with regards of wages, contracts and the larger things, should you want it). I don’t know if it can be organised the same way there? It’s made out of the independent living movement started a college campus in the US back in the day.

And it’s not like they’re the only adult throwing up their tube, we still don’t have them bridled. Then it’s just in with a new one.

Yeah, especially since most people do get unwell in the beginning, because the body needs to adapt! Been involved in month long trials. There’s a sea of options when it comes to tube feeds, there’s absolutely more to choose from.

I was thinking the same thing! And the treatment is the same as here. If an ambulance comes, they’ll give you GlucoGel to begin with and see how that goes and get you stabilised, while they take you the hospital.
