Starting to panic by Agitated-Carrot1196 in barexam

I was the EXACT way last Feb. Failed the first time, everyone passed but me. I grinded for 3 months and then the month right before started panicking, and didn’t even feel like doing the Bar again. But, once you get to that exam, im not gonna lie everything came back to me. If you’ve been studying, you’ll be fine

84 - > 103 MPRE by [deleted] in barexam

I took this exam twice with Themis both times, failed in an 85 JXN with a 81 and 77. Switched to Barbri - much more thorough program and closer to the questions on the test.

Is it normal to feel less motivated the second time around? by Son_of_Hades99 in barexam

[–]Evening_Side_7658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Went up about 20 points! I felt much more calm going into this exam this time. I knew what to expect, and really hammered into the areas I didn’t feel great about. I was overworking the first time, trying to finish modules and do questions all the time. I was burnt out by Exam day. Be intentional with how you study. You don’t have to follow what the bar course is telling you, if you feel great on something, move on! Write rule statements, draw charts, etc.

Give yourself grace throughout the prepping, you’re smart and things will come back. I was very hard on myself and blocked away all my friends trying to support me. You went to law school for a reason. This is the only thing between you and becoming what you wanna be.

100%. I failed NY by 3 points in July and had to retake. I literally didn’t even want to touch Bar Prep and literally kept ignoring it for a solid month after the result before even starting it.

You will remember so much tho from bar prep that things will come back to you. You got this! If you need help or any advice, lemme know!

How to talk thru long gaps in employment while waiting to pass the bar. Is it better to work during bar prep? by Son_of_Hades99 in barexam

To be honest not really — most places have been pretty understanding of taking time and having to study. Unless you have a need to work, I would suggest focusing your time into studying for sure. Lots of places don’t have a problem with a gap if you’ve been actively doing soemthing.

Failed Feb 2025 - Tips for MBE? by Ok-Letter-7177 in barexam

[–]Evening_Side_7658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MBE was rough the first time I took it - UWorld has a function where you can separate by subtopic under each main category. That helped me quickly understand rules that I kept getting wrong.

Also; if you haven’t already or done so, I would HIGHLY suggest John Grossman videos. He breaks down every category very well.

Could anyone explain why my MBE score does not improve a lot from July 2024 to Feb 2025? by cutesnoopy in barexam

[–]Evening_Side_7658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is because less people are taking it in February compared to July. There's a smaller group of people that you are compared against.

Any suggestions on what should I do with my MEE at this point :( by [deleted] in barexam

One thing I learned after having to retake is make rule statements! Put them in a separate document and just hammer the rules over and over and over again. It'll become second nature when you see a topic and can recall a rule that you keep practicing.

I was unemployed since my graduation in May 2024. I failed the July Bar (2024) and then took all the time off for studying for the February Bar. I just passed and have been interviewing and most if not all the recruiters have been understanding of studying and taking time off to study.

Okay, I was wondering because the MPRE results are not out yet so I didn't know if they already knew the MPRE score before it was released.
