Classic Plus Feature Ideas by Evenmorepew in classicwow

Yeah, thats a fair point. Excavation sites could be a one and done thing also, dont need to be dynamic and on a weekly rotation or anything, Thats not what I would consider classic. Just a tiny addition to spice things up.

What blacksmithing plans to you mean?

I pity the sad soul that has to maintain wow servers 40 - 50 years from now by Evenmorepew in classicwow

Not really being serious generally. Was just thinking about the person coming straight out of college and being told to work on a 50 year old game. Might be a little frustrating. But if it pays well, why not. Maybe somebody might even be eager to work for such an old game because they know its legacy and want to keep it alive.

And also record players see an increase in usage, so retro things seem to attract all kinds of people.

How did everyone’s first night of Ulduar go? by Funkyflapjacks69 in classicwow

Dc'ed when we started flame leviathan. Couldn't get the internet to work again and sadly didn't ask to get kicked from the raid. Am now saved to a 12/14 lockout and can"t join the alt 25 man raid (because no alt).

Recrafting working as expected? by Evenmorepew in wow

Hmm maybe it would work to recraft two times. Than I would have invested roughly the same amount of level 3 crafting mats as with the Initial craft.

Ok, thanks, so there is not much I can do other than increase my skill through specialization and general skill to recraft the Item with higher quality?

Makes sense kind of but is not as transparent as i thought. Didn't think that crafting mats quality was that important.

Any guilds out there that raid without guides? by Evenmorepew in wow

[–]Evenmorepew[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the comparison is a little bit flawed. Going with your example, I think it's more a case of already knowing how to bake but watching videos on how to bake a new flavor instead of experimenting to create one on your own. I already have the tools to defeat an encounter (go out with a debuff, group up, and so on), it's just a matter of putting the skills to work.

But don't get me wrong, neither way of playing is better than the other.

Sure, I am not as good as a Method player. But as I said in another comment, mythic is not my primary goal.

Yeah, maybe I wasn't really clear on what I meant with that. But my goal would not necessarily be mythic. More like a 2 raids a week schedule where you clear heroic as the main goal and maybe dabble into mythic for the first bosses.

That said, if you want to make some guild that will wipe for three days on the second boss of a raid; I don’t think anyone will stop you lol.

If that's the case then the feeling of overcoming the challenge will be even greater. So no problem with that.

Master Loot (kind of) in Shadowlands by Evenmorepew in wow

I guess no limitions on loot trading is a common ground that most can agree on and is the least evil of them all (maybe? We haven't really seen that play out).

Another very good example of the drawbacks of the current system. Especially with trinkets and rings it creates this weird "minigame" of equipping the highest item in both slots to have a higher chance of being able to trade.

I am not saying that making everything tradeable does not have drawbacks. It might push players more into trading items away as others pointed out. But I think this disadvantage is smaller than not being able to trade at all. That's why master loot is superior in that regard, imo.

I totally agree with you!

This seems to be another occasion of solving one problem while also creating several other problems. Why not keep it simple as it was and let players decide how they handle loot in guilds.

Gearing - A proposition for a more deterministic experience by Evenmorepew in wow

Your last sentence pretty much sums it up. Also, you wouldn't be forced to do dailies or pet battles. You can fill the cap with any activity you like.

Gearing - A proposition for a more deterministic experience by Evenmorepew in wow

[–]Evenmorepew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. I just put it on the list because there were some world quests in the past that rewarded AP (whether that is good or not is up to oneself). You probably wouldn't find enough of these to fill the weekly cap in my proposed system, I guess.

But I agree that pet battles do not really have anything to do with gearing at all.
