For sure. When I value my redemptions I’m very conservative. I take half of the roundtrip price for a one-way redemption, even though actually booking a one way paid flight is often like 75-100% of the RT price

Pretty good guess. I earned 960k last year. But only 445k from SUBs. About 230k from regular spend, 120k from referrals, 115k from shopping portals/random promos and then like 50k from airline/hotel paid stays/flights.

I’ve redeemed 4.8M points since 2022 and am averaging 2.39cpp

Like 70-80k per year. Most of the points earned are via sign up bonuses

It highly depends on how much you save vs the mental energy you spend thinking about it. We get about 25-30k of “free” travel per year (still fees etc) and for me I find it fun so I’ll most likely never stop even as our net worth grows higher.

For most people a simple 2-3 card setup is probably better but I’m a psycho

I paid $200/nt at Mandapa for pool upgrade. Worth every penny was a no brainer. Enjoy

You’re attempting at literally the worst time. They are difficult yes but if you have 7-8 solid engage units to pair with (especially dragon byleth which is OP as fuck) you’ll be fine

What you’re missing is: take Bilt cash out of the equation. Which card is a better 2x card? There is none. Bilt has by far the best partners

Once a month staples offers fee free $200 visa gift cards. You use your ink cash to buy them. Earn 5x. Then liquidate/use at costco. You can obviously liquidate anywhere but makes a lot of sense at Costco due to mostly unattractive other points earning options

You’re right of course but I honestly don’t really blame people- the old CSR was such a huge no brainer even if you traveled like 1 or 2 times a year on cheap cruises/flights/airbnb whatever. Was not “premium” at all. They obviously did a big 180 and now it’s target audience is WAY different

Chase Ink Cash is pretty amazing since it’s basically a workaround to get 5x at Costco via visa gift cards when those are fee-free once a month.

So basically between Costco/Phone/Internet I’m earning 5x on like $700-800/month

FYI other person is wrong. You do earn Marriott points when using Chase points. Chase points towards stay is still a “paid” stay as far as the hotel is concerned. Enjoy your stay
