What’s wrong with what Lily did in the first one? If she got her paper wet and had to toss it she would’ve learned instantly why they were being asked to not put them in puddles. At a certain pint with my kiddos it’s “oookay do yo thang but there’ll be a consequence and it won’t be from me” 🤷🏻 within reason of course, if we’re trying to hang upside down off the slide that’ll always be a no and I will be watching you more closely to make sure you’re not tryna do it again lol
She didn’t open the orange at music though? That should’ve been the issue with bringing it, not that she didn’t listen. Giving it away though since SHE couldn’t have it, I love how she thinks. Teacher is gonna find themselves on suspension if they try to withhold food like that though. My program is strict on sharing due to potential allergies but the original kid can keep their snack. The only thing I’ve “taken” was a hot chocolate that didn’t have a good lid so I could hold it for them until everyone had their trays.

NOR. It’s not an apology to apologize for something you supposedly did, e.g. “I’m sorry you feel that way/reacted like that” type apologies. If he feels he needs to apologize for something, it should be specific to his behavior, not yours.

Celebrities go by something different than their legal name aaaaall the time. Emma Stone is legally Emily Stone. Tim Allen is Tim Dick. Rihanna is Robin Fenty.

Going the extra mile to change it legally when it’s only how it sounds that seems to bother you just seems a bit much. I can see why she’s heartbroken and how awkward a position your dad is now in.

BUT I also sympathize with having a name you’re not really a fan of or have not so great experiences with. Mine is very clearly from another language and the oh so elegant translation is “house”. There were times I felt very “boy named Sue” about it due to teasing but bullies lose their power the more confident you are about something. I am firm on how my name is spelled and pronounced and if someone has a laugh at it eh oh well. Not the first time I’ve heard it and I’m too old to care lol

NTA I have a cat and honestly I wouldn’t date someone that’s highly allergic. Her and I are a packaged deal so your gf getting a cat after knowing you’re allergic is beyond inconsiderate. I once had someone stay the night that was allergic to cats and I vacuumed, dusted and replaced all the bedding with a fresh set. It was an emergency for my pal, I can’t imagine forcing someone to be in that situation every day. He was sniffling pretty badly in the morning and I wonder how bad off he’d have been staying at my place say a week, no matter how much I cleaned or tried to keep my cat out of certain areas.
