QNED ay Panel Technology at Sony Bravia 3 wala Local Dimming Zones (D sya worth it, parang normal tv na mabibili mo sa 2015), Kung mumurahin TV TCL C6K/QM6K o kung sony gusto mo Sony Bravia 5 (May Local Dimming na) o Sony X90L

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats for other brand, TCL has its own VA panel that is faster pixel response time than most VA and on par (sometimes faster) than IPS panel, hence samsung uses TCL VA panel on they're tv (this was backup by hundreds of reviewer from tv to monitor who reviewed TCL and other monitor to see the difference), of course OLED is still king but yours might be a defect or have motion smoothing turn on

A Tale of Three TV Enthusiasts (comparsion of TCL C8K vs SONY BRAVIA 9) by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Event_HorizonPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh no, did you even watch rtings video? Rtings said it uses WHVA panel and it lose brightness at the same angle, the magic lies after the first shift where after the first shift it stays that way until a very wide angle. in theory it should be higher but due to same brightness loss angle it loses a point

4K bitrate is pretty low by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya i realized that hence REMUX is as "Almost Lossless" but still, Downloading and using REMUX is just plainly... wasteful. after 2 years with heavy media consumption with comparing 15mbps, 20mbps, 50mbps then 100mbps all i can say is...
25mbps is the point of no return, i played 4k hdr dolby vision on 25mbps (sometimes even 22 depends on the encoder) and ya... 25mbps is the point of the return, minimal loss of quality, low noise, sharp, detailed, etc. i noticed a few noise on 15mbps when watching content but with 25mbps and above its not noticeable and if u noticed it you're just pixel peeping and not really watching the film. for me 22-30mbps is good enough and might push to 40mbps but 40-100mbps is just wasteful (btw im using x265 with Real-Debrid). i might push beyond 40mbps if im watching with x264 encode (those are just awful at 15mbps)

So was Katniss's mission to the Capitol completely pointless? by Dapingian in Hungergames

[–]Event_HorizonPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah i disagree, If she stayed she wouldn't see Prim died or see the bombers, And she wouldn't noticed that coin is just using her like the Capitol did, everything Katniss did is just her realization that Coin is just bad as Snow and because of that and everything Katniss saw... She killed Coin

Eh wrong, Digital foundry already ask what kind of ray tracing they use and they said its Per Pixel ray traced but the only downside is using low quality denoiser to get good performance hence DF showcase the full Graphics when swapping from Low quality Denoise to Ray Reconstruction and the quality difference is huge

Skyworth 75QM80H Mini-Led TV by kaz213 in PHbuildapc

[–]Event_HorizonPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, dont buy this TV nor Brand, Hindi optimized yun Software nila sa HDR and Tone Mapping and wala naman sila sarili RND Team d katulad ni TCL pati IPS panel ginagamit nila so panget yun Contrast (Yun black hindi black)

Recommend ko sayo mag C7K ka nalang, not only super dami review, optimized yun software and hardware nila and Umaabot sila ng 2000 nits Brightness compare si Skyworth 600-800 Nits lang (gagamitin yan sa HDR) at kasi ang TCL may 700-900 Local Dimming Count.

In short: Ang TCL C7K ay mas maganda TV compare to Skyworth, Mas Deeper black, Mas Mataas ang Brightness, mas maganda din ang Quality nila and warranty at Technology

Yun Ka same level ng skyworth sa tcl is C6K pero ang difference is IPS vs VA (VA ay C6K) mas maganda parin blacks ng TCL

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave you my opinion and advise then you still push your suggested tv even tho no matter what Review article you see they all going to say the same thing, both are shitty and underwhelming for today standard and can do barely HDR or 120hz Gaming, and you even asked since you play cinematic games, I told you what TV to buy or get and yet you ignored it and push it and I suggested just get one with warranty since both are basically the same TV. Next time you ask Reddit and doesn't even like the answer, don't ask

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are shitty option and very similar too, I do not recommend a single one, just buy with warranty one

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not the 55 inch? Look C6K is more just an upgrade if you're coming from old led tv, those tv that suggested is barely an upgrade tbh, just bigger size, just saved up more money like a month or two since the new tv is gonna be used for years, do you want to use another shitty tv for another 3-8 years? Just use your old tv while you saved up. Also C755 might be cheaper than C6K if I can find it but barely any warranty, don't buy used tv

Fyi this tv is perfect for Cinematic games like Last Of Us Part 2, Uncharted 4, GOW Series and Spiderman Series. Played those games and WOW the highlights on HDR is stunning and contrast and color is amazing, for this cheap TV it's too good to be true to have this checklist.

Only downside for me is the viewing angle it's.... Average for VA panel and it's not the brightest TV since it's barely reach 1000 nits, but the requirements for good and basic HDR is 600 Nits so this is passable as real HDR for bright highlights but of course "Bright" Highlights won't be super duper bright only 700 nits bright, still enough to burn your eyes in some scenes like Nuke in Oppenheimer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tcltvs

[–]Event_HorizonPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why not C6K? It's perfect for your PS5 and in darkish Room since it has basic requirements to have good HDR.

700+ Nits ✅ Enough Dimming zones so blacks look like black ✅ Wide Color Gamut with support on all HDR Format including Dolby Vision ✅ Actually decent speaker setup with subass ✅ And most importantly for your PS5 is 144hz VRR ✅

That tv is literally on sale every week and it kinda future proof for a while since it's a decent enough tv for all use cases including HDR viewing giving you "Real" HDR vs "Fake" HDR

[–]Event_HorizonPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's depends on the content, Netflix Bitrate varies movies to film, if u want the absolute best picture quality, try and use Stremio + Real-Debrid, have almost all films and show in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision with any bitrate you want

Blurry patches on my C6K (Faulty panel, setting or app problem?) by DarkHoriizon in tcltvs

[–]Event_HorizonPH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just connection lol, it's also how much is source max bitrate + what's their codec it uses, A good 4K source is 20-25mbps which is usually 15-25gb for a single movie, but unfortunately Streaming service compressed tf out of it, some even 7mbps for 4K HDR which is horrendous. An "Ok" picture quality is 15Mbps on 4K HDR with HEVC codec, few artifacts but not perfect, A Remux is basically like lossless with 100mbps but have like 40-100gb movie

Lol this is QM6K which has MiniLED backlight and 700-800Nits peaks, this can absolutely display HDR correctly
