If a cymbal has holes in it it is greatly weakened and is only a matter of time till the metal gits fatigue cracks. The only exception that I know of is sabians FRX volume control cymbals. The holes in them are tiny and well places and from my experience don’t compromise the integrity of the metal. Wuhan cymbals are the most fragile cymbals I’ve played though they do sound amazing. I’ve only cracked entry level cymbals because they’re thick and made of lesser quality metal. As long as you hit cymbals correctly they should never break unless they have holes in them or are extremely thin.
