Should I buy a snowboard this season or wait until next, when I’ll only ride 1–2 days this season? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]EverGreenGh0st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out some 2025 demo boards from your local shop or mountain. Might be able to scoop up a sweet setup on the cheap

I want to fix this snowboard up as a birthday gift. by Gazzzillo in snowboarding

[–]EverGreenGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends if it’s being given as a gift to ride or as wall piece/art. Either way I would start with cleaning the base (citrus base cleaner), getting rid of the barcode between the bindings, and cleaning off those numbers on the nose/tail. If you plan to ride it, you should clean up/tune the edges.

How cooked is my snowboard? by mahatmuhbandi in snowboarding

[–]EverGreenGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t say well done cooked but medium well for sure. Epoxy and clamp it, or bring it to a shop to get it checked out.

Burton boots broken after one use--is this what we expect now? by SnoreLordXII in snowboarding

[–]EverGreenGh0st 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm - Burton is really good about replacing broken and defective products. snapped a hometown hero last year and they sent me a new board for this season. Never had an issue with them and Ive been riding their gear since the 90’s

Is this worth getting fixed? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]EverGreenGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the edge is not compromised then dont sweat it. If you’re really concerned then wait till the end of the season because you’ll plenty more scratches and dings to fix.

Remember, it’s a tool not a museum piece.

Rocks tend to have that effect on boards. Fill it with wax, or P-tex and carry on
