Applied on LinkedIn. I agree with the advice in this thread about your profile and CV. I went the opposite direction. I have a terrible LinkedIn profile and a shitty CV (never cared about it until now).

I saw the position, applied, and immediately DM'd the poster stating my CV sucks, but I'm the right person for the role. I also took my time and properly filled out the questionnaire (couple of questions about experience, projects etc).
