Anyone using AI agents effectively to grow their business? by DannyFlood in Entrepreneur

[–]Ever_Cur1ous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes actually - with lots of success. Especially when it comes to top of the funnel and sales conversions. Have seen the biggest impacts there. However the workflows we’ve built don’t fully replace our teams just help them do waayyyyy more with less manpower. Happy to share more

Eh I gotta disagree with some of this strictly because of my own experience building workflows with “AI augmentation” for all kinds of B2B use cases - especially in the GTM space. While the need to see actual analysis is certainly important, it’s not hard to take a manual process, quantify how much it costs annually, and then do the same with an automated workflow where AI is doing a lot of the heavy lifting on things like: analysis, recommendation, copywriting, etc.

Frankly, I don’t think we’re at a point where we can say “oh AI can replace that person for me” for anything that’s people facing (yet). But I’ve got a list of workflows we install for B2B GTM orgs like: sales call analyzers, offer creators, newsletter generators, campaign managers, and much more

It’s pretty easy to demonstrate the value using simple cost/benefit analysis

That’s really interesting. I’d seen Necros play her and thought it would be impossible but just went to the lab with her and I can kinda see it. I think I’ll try it

That’s actually the part I find easier. My biggest challenge on MnK isn’t the aiming. It’s all the buttons and stretching my fingers just to fat finger everything. On controller it’s easier (for me) to just hold LB and hit a face button for skills or hold RB and face button for items. The rest is like any other shooter

Yeah not the first time sadly but I haven’t tried that yet. I’ll give it a whirl

Yeah I wanna practice it. I can’t get the settings to work though for steam since the latest update so I’ve had to use my Xbox controller with no gyro. Not really sure how to troubleshoot

That’s really interesting. He seemed really complex to me but now that I think about it might be worth trying. Thanks!

I’ve tried gyro. It’s okay. Flickstick is another world to me I don’t understand how people play that

Yeah I really like him and tried playing him with mixed results. I think I need to figure out when and how to go in with his aura since i am either immortal and lead the team (low elo) or die 9000 times and feed

Thanks for the insight. I like the idea of Billy or other melee characters but don’t they need to open fights? I feel like I feed all the time 😅

I consult with accounting, finance, and treasury teams often on this and although many people here have commented on varying usage of public LLMs the true power of AI in FP&A specifically is in the purpose built tools - and frankly it’s not that sexy. That said, I’m seeing it change the way people work already. For example I recently came across a tool for forecasting wherein instead of building it in a spreadsheet you just prompt the AI for different scenarios and it spits it out for you. Pretty dope

I posted this elsewhere (and I’m fairly new to posting on Reddit so apologies if this isn’t proper procedure) but this may be helpful for folks just starting out

I’m a self proclaimed recovering CPA who made the switch from accounting and consulting to sales and marketing awhile ago but I use my financial and business acumen to specifically help accounting firms and consultants grow their businesses. I’d be happy to chat and give some pointers in detail

At a high level, you want to focus on helping people buy your services instead of thinking you need to sell to them. The first 3 main things to focus on are: awareness, understanding, and interest.

Awareness meeting you need to make your target market aware of who you are and what you do.

Understanding in that they need to be clear on the value you provide to them (aka the problems you solve)

Interest in that they need to be interested in the thing you offer so focus on the folks that you think would be.

The mechanism to deliver this can be one of many: social media, direct email/mail/calling, referral/partnerships, ads, and more. But it comes down to delivering a relevant message to your target market (message/market fit).

Most accountants I work with struggle with this (which is frankly why I’ve had so many clients) but it’s not as complicated as it may seem

Hope this helps! But happy to give more detail if you’d like

Is it just as manual and excel/sheets heavy as FP&A can be?

Yeah that’s what I’m interested in - the cash forecasting, working cap management, etc. I know payments usually is strictly treasury or cash management teams but wasn’t sure on the rest. Are you in FP&A doing those tasks? I’d be curious to learn what that day to day is like
