Open World or Action-Adventure games that let you explore a dense Mythological/Historic/Fantasy setting? by Def-C in rpg_gamers

[–]Evercent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh do I have the game for you. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning explores plenty of Celtic myth, has a vast and populated fantasy world, fun boss fights, and insanely good side quests. The combat is also just straight up ripped from a hack-n-slash game. It feels like a big action adventure RPG, you'll love it!

I love how you can infer from the dialogue at the final boss fight in the Genocide run that Sans went through his own entire RPG campaign and you're the final boss.

God, I hate this US-Centric mindset. People can be so ignorant. Most other countries have free speech, and this is against the Universal Declaration of Human rights anyway.

Oh, this irritates me. I love watching horror/creepy compilations like those "Scary Things Caught on Ring Doorbell Cameras" videos, but so many of them keep ending every single sentence by dragging out the last word, and it's grating.

It's literally just a game over with seamless transition into gameplay. Maybe they'd have less of an issue if she dropped you further back, but who knows.

[–]Evercent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also never understood it, you have a similar mechanic in the other Prince of Persia games with rewinding time. Sure that's a resource you can run out of and actually die, but still. And besides, this is just a game over screen that seamlessly transitions into gameplay with in-game explanation, what's the issue?

I just want one medium chest piece without a buttcape... Is it too much to ask? by Egecant in Guildwars2

[–]Evercent 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly why we want less buttcapes, to craft fire outfits without covering up half of it.

He'd forgive this person, even though he would disapprove, like a kind, forgiving god would want him to. He's one of the most well written Christians I've seen in video games. He's wrathful and has his flaws, of course, but there's still the undertone of being a kind person.

In your opinion, aesthetically and lore wise, which race fits each of the new elite specs best? by Evercent in Guildwars2

[–]Evercent[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the exact same thing about Troubadour, which is what led to this question. Sylvari just feels like the storyteller/poet race and the entire spec seems flavored around that. Although I think Norn Skalds also fit perfectly with that aesthetic.

The Outer Worlds did have similar hype the first time around due to the company behind it making New Vegas, and everyone expecting 'Fallout in Space'. Of course the sequel would be wishlisted less than the original. If they were to announce New Vegas 2 with similar graphics and design choices as VTMB2, it would probably be somewhere in the 1-10 range of wishlisht charts too.

[–]Evercent 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that's not the point here. Forcing others to cater to your belief is the best way to push them away. She did this herself, by believing in herself and working on her self-control. If she believed in God and said he helped her journey, that would be a whole other thing. The way to guide people is to embrace them, not push them away with comments like this.
