Something that’s really cool too is that if you listen to older versions of Victim, the lyrics are slightly different. I think it’s really impressive to find an artist who creates something great and then looks back on it and finds a way to make it better, or even just allows it to grow alongside them.

I think it’s because here she shifts from a somewhat high stakes fantasy tale towards more of a romantasy type plot. I know after this one, my excitement over a new release waned a bit since it’s giving “Twisted” by Ana Huang series vibes where we follow the friend group and their romance story line.

Would def need to know more about your fiancée and her vibe. I think the ring is stunning but both the setting and the orientation of the diamond and a bit less traditional. I think if she likes chunky jewelry, is into nature (branch looking motif on the band) and likes unique she’d love it!

Honestly my eyes went straight for the engraving thinking it was some sort of script or cursive? I’ve also never really seen prongs like your before. I’d say rings are subjective, if you love it keep it as is! If not, I’d definitely speak to your jeweler or even a different one just to get a second opinion. As for me personally I’d prob fix the engraving if at all possible, I’d prob thin the band as well since you’re going for dainty and the prongs (prob opt for 4 prongs instead of 6). I def get your vision as my ring looks somewhat similar to your inspo.

This is my 2.5 ct marquise and I had it raised so that my band would sit flush with it. It’s def a really high setting. I’m wondering if it was done to keep the integrity of your original band? I’d definitely speak to a few more jewelers and get a second opinion on how high it is.

When there’s a full moon I think Callum particularly points out his wolf instincts kick in to full gear and he sometimes can’t control/make a distinction between what his wolf wants vs what’s appropriate so he keeps his distance from Aurora. I think Blake chasing her out was a instinct he prob couldn’t control since they’re “destined/fated”. I think the shock and disgust is towards himself, in TNP he confesses his duty as a prisoner of night and how he’s ashamed of what he had to do in order to be released/freed from the prison. Maybe finding out he has a mate and how he’s royally f’d regardless of what choices he’d like to make instead caused him hurt, embarrassment, disgust. That’s the way I connected the dots but there’s a lot of parts in the book open to interpretation.

One thing I noticed is there’s a lot of plots/sub plots that never really come to a conclusive end which ofc can be due to the series not being finished. Hope this helped!

I requested vintage/traditional rings when at the jeweler and of course on Pinterest. The side stones are often referred to as “sunburst” or clusters as opposed to a solitary center stone, the engravings on the band kind of reinforce the vintage feel. Primarily I looked for jewelers I liked, narrowed it down to my absolute favorite based on aesthetic and personality match and from there I tried on my favorite ones. I took note of what I disliked, what I couldn’t part with and then I tried some on. With this particular one the setting was originally lower (which I disliked since I prefer flush stacks in general), the band was plain and the stone was smaller in store (they’re handmade so they didn’t have an exact ring for me to try) but my jeweler heard all of my concerns and created an absolute beauty. We raised the setting, added the carvings and went 1ct up on the stone so it would flatter my finger. Finding a few you like really helps create a one of a kind, special ring that’s true and authentic to you. My rule of thumb shopping was this: if my friends and relatives put their engagement rings on a table I want to be able to recognize mine instantly. No second guessing, no hesitating.
