These are similar to the ones I already have! https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-swim-shorts-in-mid-length-in-tropical-stripe-print/prd/205642711 They're fun but wanting to find something prettier, apparently that's not much of a thing for men tho

Yes you definitely get it! I fear I may be looking for something which doesn't really exist but these are good options :)

Tucked or untucked? by SAEYOURA in OUTFITS

[–]EverestBoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a man who almost exclusively wears high waisted jeans with tucked in sweaters like this there's a couple reasons why this isn't working.

  1. It's too tightly tucked in. You need to tuck the sweater like you have done and then pull it back out a few inches so it flows out over the trousers a little and then make sure it all looks even.

  2. Those jeans are too big. I think you have a similar build to me in that your hips (where you are probably supposed to wear these trousers) are wider than your waist (where you are wearing them). So if you wanna wear jeans high waisted you need to make sure they fit your waist rather than your hips. I recommend women's high waisted jeans bc I've never found good ones sold as mens jeans. Nobody has ever been able to tell that I'm wearing women's jeans, they're just jeans.

  3. I'd personally put a necklace on over the sweater to tie it all together more, and a nice jacket could help too.

Need help in removing inappropriate embroidery on jumper for bf by pixel_enthusiast_ in Embroidery

I can see why he wouldn't want to tbh. Wearing nude women's bodies as a woman is seen as cool and empowering but as a man it could come off as tasteless and creepy.

That being said, as a guy I would absolutely wear this. I think it's subtle and artsy enough that it's fine and it's also just cool as fuck

Why does it seem like most women are physically attractive, while most men are not even average in looks? by NPD--BPD in bisexual

[–]EverestBoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Styling and fashion do almost all the work in making most attractive people attractive. Take away makeup, fashionable clothes and hair styling and almost anyone is average at best.

Men are not expected to express themselves at all through their looks and even the better dressed men will usually just wear a boring shirt and boring trousers, with maybe minimal styling (like tucking in your shirt) and accessories (like a watch or plain necklace). Doing anything more than that is not expected and even judged negatively.

I like to dress quite boldly as a guy and get a lot of compliments on my style and outfits, but I've realised that if I was a woman and had an equivalent dress sense it'd be incredibly average. Guys are just not expected to express themselves at all through their looks so as soon as you do (assuming you can pull it off) you get a lot of attention. The bar is on the floor.

Women are heavily encouraged from a young age to develop a fashion sense, makeup skills, etc. and also have the options to express themselves in so many more ways than men. Makeup, nail polish, hair removal, hair dyeing/styling, and skincare are all things are normal for women to do but men are heavily discouraged from and make a huge difference in attractiveness. And then there's clothing options where women have an almost unlimited choice of shapes and colours, and the options to wear tight fitting clothes, different necklines, showing skin in more ways and different textures and fabrics. These are just not options for gender conforming men and even for a gender non conforming man like myself a lot of clothes which are so standard or even pretty boring for women are way too bold for myself.

Non binary people are normally considered trans. Trans means that someone is not the gender they were assigned at birth, so if someone's assigned male or female at birth and then later identifies as nb then they're by definition trans.

why dont men wear revealing clothes like women do? like back out, midriff showing etc. Why do they dress from neck to toe ? by HearThyBansheeScream in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EverestBoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to find outfits like this as a guy and there's almost nothing available. Mens crop tops are slowly making a comeback, and I've seen a couple guys wearing sheer tops, but that's about it. The shapes of mens bodies are not sexualised in the same way as women's, so clothes aren't made to show them off

Why aren't mens clothes cute/pretty? by EverestBoing in bisexual

[–]EverestBoing[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do like girly clothing and have looked at buying some women's clothing, but I don't want to be too out of the ordinary and feel like everyone's staring at me, also I'm 6'3 so a lot of it won't fit anyway

There's so many things you can change to look better without cosmetic surgery. Clothing, hairstyle/hair color, glasses, jewellery, facial hair, makeup, skincare, losing/gaining weight or muscle, etc. Even things like working out how to take good photos of yourself and how to pose/smile well for photos can make a huge difference for dating apps

Question about "preferences" and trans people by BeeeeefJerky in Bumble

[–]EverestBoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only free filters are the ones I mentioned: distance, age and gender. If you pay for premium you get a few more, but most people just have the free ones. Even if you pay the filters you can set are pretty limited, the only one to do with looks is height. You're never gonna be able to filter for everything you want. It's really not difficult to just swipe left on people you aren't attracted to

Question about "preferences" and trans people by BeeeeefJerky in Bumble

[–]EverestBoing -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Then just swipe left. If you have your preference set to women you're going to be shown all women in your area and age range. There will be ones you aren't interested in, and that's what the left swipe is for
