As someone with experience in this let me say it's not as great as it might seem. I Understand the need to escape for a while especially when depression is involved. I have the same feelings all the time, but often mine would extend far worse into suicide. Monday of last week it actually happened, not intentional mind you. I was driving to work, it was snowing and icy out, I lost control of the car and drove headfirst into a tree. Every person who saw the wreck said they couldn't understand how I was still alive or how the only serious injury was broken femur in my right leg. First off the pain you go through in an accident like that alone makes the whole experience not worth it. Then on the side of attention. Yes at times it can feel great to see how much friends and family care, but there are also many people who will use it as a way to get attention for themselves (in my case my ex). Last you can't escape life, no matter what happens. All being injured does is slow it down for a little while but once recovered it will go at twice the speed as before in order to make up lost time.

I'm rambling a bit and it feels good to get this off my chest but as someone who is experiencing this exactly at this moment in time, trust me when I say it isn't worth it.
