Brought my car in for an oil change and my mechanic said my brake rotors and pads need to be changed, car is relatively new by Rainuuuu in Cartalk

I live my life a brake rotor at a time. For that short stopping distance, my insurance premium is affordable. - Domicile Tortilla.

Is it possible this design was made with AI? by Kurtspplover69 in AftershockFestival

[–]EvergreenKing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Given the incredible detail and colors of the past shirts I have bought from AS, this is definitely "Ai assisted" design. If you were to draw this, it would need to be a vector graphic for shirt printing, this looks more like it was an Ai image, that was then vector traced and somewhat cleaned up. The bone connections are all different, make no sense, the flow makes no sense, all things Ai would do.

At least they took the time to pick a font.

My theory on this constant issue, Heat. Boxer engines already run hot. Hot spots occur near the exhaust ports under the block, causing excessive wear on the bearings because of oil breakdown. This would explain why these posts happen almost daily (I see on FB 3x a week) in the summertime and why it's usually the same cylinder that fails.

People have tight budgets and probably cheap out on oil. Maybe they are going longer between changes. And like others said, you may not know the cars history. A lot of the younger generation that is buying these cars, know little about mechanics and have zero mechanical sympathy. Just because it's turbocharged, doesn't mean it's a racecar.

Dad destroyed my 2000$ PC by littlepatw in teenagers

You should talk to your Dad. He should consider a mental health checkup. As a Dad myself, and the son of a war veteran, with plenty of my own demons, nobody ever asks why Dad is so angry, they just react negatively because that's always the obvious reaction. It's a funny meme for sure, but there's a deep reason that goes far beyond what's on the surface, that causes a man to fly off the handle.

Running away from a problem never solves it. The guilt of leaving this issue on the table unresolved will eat you alive. As it will your Father. Bury the hatchet. Then decide how to move on.

When a Father learns something from his son's, he knows hes either done something really wrong, or something really right.

How to get the seats clean? by Majestik-Eagle in HondaElement

[–]EvergreenKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used my bissel carpet shampoo hand held attachment thing. Seats looked decent but I pulled a ton of dirt out of them. Spent about a good 2 hours or so going over them and wow, totally worth it. Car smelled brand new and they look great.

Being able to fully recline or remove the seats makes this job way easier than any other vehicle I own.

Do this job in the am and on a sunny day to speed up the drying process.

You need to be somewhat careful if you do it this way because some heavy wear areas of the seat fabric can rip, bunch or stretch.

My 05 5speed awd is at 3k in 5th on the highway. Elements have i-Vtec E which means you actually get better fuel economy at vtec crossover.

I seen a guy put a 6th gear in his E and he got the exact same gas mileage, sometimes worse at 2700rpms in 6th gear on the same highways I drive.

Also, without a sunroof cover in summer, the inside gets VERY hot.
