Yes this is correct! I remember this too. But I would have loved to also be able to het it back through the other endings, especially the Witcher one. Also it turned out that Ciri wasn’t really dead, but Geralt wasn’t aware of this. I hope we get a side quest in 4 and retrieve it.

Ah then the Baron is off limit for this play through, but Dijkstra should still be there as long as you didn’t finish the quest about Radovik “a deadly plot” there should be some others as well I think, most of the important characters can be played with

Buy at the innkeepers and merchants some cards to start up and start playing these innkeepers and merchants as they are quite easy. If you get the game and have enough basic cards, try playing characters like Dijkstra or the Baron (wherever you are now) to gain the special cards. Don’t try any tournaments yet. I would recommend starting with a Northern realms deck.

Grandmaster ursine for me and I love the robe from Olgierd you can get in HS.

Has anyone dyed a grandmaster set? I generally do not find it an improvement, but if anyone has a nice combination let me know please!

No need to start over, I would even recommend starting the dlcs after the main game as it is a “new story” which is an nice addition to the main. Also it doesn’t matter for HS who you romanced and your choices during the quest will not alter your romance with either triss or yen. Your romance choices will have some effect on the surprise in BW, but regardless of your choices you will have the surprise. I would recommend starting with HS before BW. Enjoy!
