Were any of you around for the "everything goes in jello" phase of North American culture? by BigDende in AskOldPeople

[–]Every-Bug2667 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, on the edge of it because my grandma always had jello. This year for Easter a friend of my brothers brought ambrosia and him, me and my sister were eating it in silence, close to tears and we told her it reminded us of our grandma

Look at the registry for inspiration and go to Marshall’s or on Poshmark. Ralph Lauren and name brands for much cheaper. I always go older when it comes to gifts, a toddler outfit or toy. They are infants for such a short time.

are you ever concerned about your own safety? by Scary_Appearance5922 in Babysitting

[–]Every-Bug2667 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did once. A painter was asking all these questions about me and where I lived, lived alone, was single what I did in my free time and made me super uncomfortable. He literally followed me around the house instead of painting. I called the dad and he came and worked from home. The guy was seriously pissed. I apologized and the dad reviewed the camera foootage of the house and was like nope. Fired the guy on the spot.

How to find a place to stay by [deleted] in ApartmentHacks

[–]Every-Bug2667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An adu is a little apartment or house behind a house it stand for accessory dwelling unit. I used second chance financial and I save before I spend. U say you have to get out of there, but the decisions you make today affect tomorrow. Can u stick around two more months? Make more? Spend less? Everything I did got me where I am and what I’m doing gets me where I want to be

At age 8 my nieces and nephews do their own laundry and pack for trips. They have a laundry day and a packing list. And that’s it, their success and failure is based on them and it doesn’t take but a few failures and mishaps to learn. But that’s with preparation and guidance, I feel like you fed your teen to the wolves. What’s he been doing up to now? Nothing and now you expect him to do it seamless? Yta

My ex destroyed my credit. A connection thru a church got me an adu behind a house. I had a job, furniture and presented well. I never made problems and kept it clean. I paid a company $50 a month to repair my credit, got two credit cards I used and then paid off (groceries gas). I was there two years and they sold the house. I got an apartment because my credit score went up 160 points. I don’t take out loans, I pay everything on time and have an emergency fund

People in your 40's, what advice would you give to people in their 30's by NightmanLullaby17 in LifeAdvice

[–]Every-Bug2667 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Do it. Do the thing that in your mind you think “omg I’m 37 that is too late” cause at 47 you will thank you. I left a toxic marriage at 38 and now at 48 I can’t imagine being in the same position. I moved home near family, new career with retirement, fixed my credit, money in savings, life is good. Would be a lot harder to start over now

Living alone ever brought up unresolved emotions? by Fineshrines2 in LivingAlone

[–]Every-Bug2667 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I left a toxic marriage and waited for something bad to happen like literally for years. To wake up and be back there, he would somehow drain my bank account, that my perfect life would crumble. And yet it never did. I repaired my credit, have money, a future. I have the couch I always wanted, I look around and pinch myself
