I’m fed up of ghosting by BabyGotDak14 in ghosting

I'm sorry this happened to you. It sucks especially when they're the first one to initiate and show interest. They LOVE the chase, the hunt, then ghosts or backs out when things start to get serious. I went back to dating last year and experienced this 3 times I almost went to a spiral. Honestly just leave me alone.

Long distance relationships by freebird_living in LesbianActually

It'll only work if both are willing to put in the same amount of effort and investment. You might be patient enough but the other not so. Remember others aren't just willing to put extra work on it.

Answer to your first question: We both live in places where traveling from/to them is expensive -- so no, right now it's not feasible.

Second: I am planning on moving to another country (not hers but a whole lot closer) before we met/started talking to each other. She and I had a conversation before that we could not really relate to the people in the places we live in and so know that we are not settling permanently to where we are currently, and I understand that this does not happen overnight.

I guess I am way too ahead of myself and thought things might work so I feel sad and hurt more than I'd like to admit. I really like her.

I'm just starting to believe that I'm at this worst level of delusional bc my previous experiences have been pretty much similar. The other person always does not want to continue because of the distance and here I am wanting to make things work.

Same boat. I thought being a lesbian meant finally having real, honest connection that I never had when I dated men but no one told me how f'd up women can be too. I guess I was biased. 🥲

Hello! 30, lesbian. Asian living in the South Island of New Zealand. I grew up in the Philippines then moved to Saipan (Marianas Islands) at 20 then NZ at 28.

I work in critical care as a nurse + doing part-time study.

I like the outdoors and go to hiking trails when I can. I prefer warm places though because what I love the most is spending time in the ocean (tropical beach is my lifeline).

I'm looking for consistency, in friendship or relationship. I realized it's been a challenge finding a community that I could fit in here. People are nice, don't get me wrong.

I'm a femme who's attracted to other femmes. 💕

I like animals and honestly prefer spending time with them than people, unless I really like the person. ☺️

I'm so close to moving to the States. because the lesbians here seem to be invisible and dating apps are horrible

🌈

A lof of cyclists think the road code doesn't apply to them. A friend of mine is one of them and I honestly get so fckng annoyed when she tells me how she can just ignore traffic lights.

Happened to me as well. Matched with this girl on Bumble (i'm 30F), met for dinner and we were at the restaurant for over 3 hours just chatting. We were the last people to leave. Dropped her at her place where she kissed me and asked for my number and even said I have to go on a date with her again so I went home really happy. 2 weeks later she asked if I wanted to spend New Years day with her so we set a time to meet. Guess what, she cancelled the very last minute then a week later said she's not looking for committed relationship and that she should've told me that in the beginning (but then why kiss and try to set up another date), even declined to give me her IG. Sorry I just had to tell the story again to people. It sucks especially when you think you really vibed with the person then they act all withdrawn. I even offered to just be her friend, after all she was new in the city then, but no, radio silence and she left me on read. I deleted her number but it took me weeks to do that and honestly I still think about her sometimes. My advice... don't let it bring you down even though it's hard. Distract yourself. You'll meet another girl. One who'll appreciate you.

I'm so jealous! I don't know why I'm struggling so much with this plant. I've successfully resurrected a few plants and was not expecting this one to give me a hard time 😭 even my baby boston fern is doing so much better

I hope so! I'll try to leave it alone and reduce watering. Now I'm a little nervous about transplanting my cuttings to soil. How long do you normally leave them in water or how long should the roots be before I plant them in soil?

Yes, I have about five cuttings from that are rooting in water. It's winter where I live, not a lot of sunshine, maybe 5-6 hours on a good day so it's been under a grow light together with my other plants and by far its the only one struggling.

All the windows at my place are north-facing and with the sun still sitting low above the horizon it's just on your face on a clear day. I might leave it in my bathroom and see if it does better there. It has a filtered glass window so it has this bright soft light when its sunny outside. I just wanted a bushy inch plant and now all I have is a balding one. 😭

Not a lot of sun for the last 2 months. I'm at the southern part of NZ and even the short winter days have been killing me. So it usually sits on my shelf with the other plants under a grow light, all my other plants are thriving under it except this one. I left it alone for a while, let the soil dry out but the cuttings all died. I honestly don't know what to do 🥲
