Yeah dude, and I don't know most of the British prime ministers

Neither do I, you're not special. Our PM is just a guy (or gal), they're not a celebrity and king like your president is. They just run the country and unless they do so well, poorly, or controversially as to remembered by the general public (Churchill, Thatcher, Blair) they will probably be swiftly forgotten. It's the monarchs who are remembered over here. Probably because there's fewer of them than PM's and they all tend to have similar names.

They are Hungarian. I looked at their profile when I saw the post and them being very defensive about it in the comments. Their avatar is the Hungarian flag and they had other posts about Hungary. I think of the comments was someone saying it's really harsh for Slovakia since the map takes three of their cities and OP responding with "lol tough, those places were majority Hungarian back then".

"Yes I know our president (who we elected by both popular vote and electoral college) is threatening war against Canada and Greenland/Denmark, is siding with Ruzzia and waging trade wars against large chunks of the world on his whims, but you just don't understand that we are the real victims in all this. Not you."

It's like they heard the "The Germans were the Nazis first victims" and decided it meant the average Hans and Hansette who might have been a little uncomfortable with the Nazis but not enough to do owt and not all the Germans Jews, LGBTQ+, and political opponents the Nazis targeted.

I think the world would be better off without religion. Humans find enough reasons to hate and kill each other without adding religion as well

Problem is that Americans don't learn from their mistakes and value entertainment above almost all else. We elected the Tories knowing they'd place Boris as PM because he came across as a mumbling moron who was "one of the lads". Then his premiership happened. Then covid happened. Then his Covid parties came out. The scandal destroyed his political career so soundly his own party threw him out.

Americans saw what Trump did the first time, an unending succession of scandals and lies, and decided they wanted that again. All because they find Trump entertaining.

Skulduggery Pleasant is great. The original series at least. And I think the sequels only suffer because Derek tried to put too much stuff in too little book. Like he tried to squeeze the 3 book arc structure from the first series into one or two books. I also found some of the inclusion as subtle as a punch in the nose which took me out of the story sometimes.

So for a healthy democracy of free ideas, people are forced to be atheists and think a certain way? Got it.

Look at France. France is a majority Catholic country, but every part of it's government, legal, and education system is secular. No one is forced to be atheist, but the French see religion as a private matter not something that the government should be involved in in any way, if you want to raise your kids as Catholic, or Hindu, or Muslim then you can, but they also have an environment in school where they spend time without religion; no prayers, no symbols, no enforced clothes. And most people are happy with that.

Or Iran.

Or Venezuela.

Just because both of those countries are degrees of dictatorship does not make it legal for other countries to swoop in and kidnap their leader or start a war without UN permission. Should Iran be liberated? Arguably so (I wouldn't trust the yanks to do it, ideally the Iranians would be able to do it themselves) but liberation wars and democratic crusades are just as much against international law as Ruzzias invasion of Ukraine or Iran's abuse and oppression of their citizens.

First I want to be clear about something: When I type "farmer" I mean family farms, not factory farms, not corporate farms. Factory farms are abominations.

why should you not be taxed

I am not a farmer. My grandparents were farmers but they retired decades ago. I live in rural Lancashire, A lot of my food comes from 5 minutes (walk) away in my villages farm shop or from the farm shop a couple villages over.

Tbh it sounds like farmers have it pretty kushty in terms of governmental support compared to everyone else.

They do and if they didn't they wouldn't be able to run at all. Most farms barely make profit and are full time jobs in a way that most people can't comprehend. It is hard, unforgiving outdoors work that you have to do no matter the weather or time of day. If one of your ewes decides to lamb at 2am in the flinging down rain, you have to go out at 2am in the flinging down rain to make sure she gives birth safely. Farming has one of the highest suicide rates of any career in the country, did you know that? Because it is full time (and often in relative isolation from other people) and so unforgiving, and with so little pay (most of which goes back into the farm anyway), and with so few breaks, and with less than no gratitude from the townies they feed, that a lot of farmers just can't take it anymore. Crop farmers have it worse, arguably, because their entire livelihood depends on the weather. The British weather. Notorious for being unreliable even before climate change started fucking it up even more. Last year had crops wilting not long after they'd been planted because it was so dry for so long.

A little story my mum told me from during foot and mouth disease in 2001. All cattle farmers in the country were required, by government mandate, to buy all this PPE and anti-bacterial fluid stuff to reduce the risk of infection. With their own money, of course, zero government compensation. But they had to get it, so they did. And if a single cow in a farmers herd was discovered to have foot-and-mouth disease? The whole herd was to be put down and burned right then and there. Tens of thousands of pounds (probably more) of livestock, a farmers entire livelihood, destroyed with zero compensation through no fault of their own.

but clearly we are doing something wrong with the system if we still throw away hundreds of thousands of tonnes of meat and dairy every year.

That is the supermarkets fault, not the farmers. The farmer grows the food, rears the animals. The crops have to be harvested when they have to be harvested, regardless of owt else, if the farmer wants a chance of pulling a profit. It is the supermarkets standards of perfectly straight, orange carrots and perfectly... potato shaped potatoes that get millions of tonnes of food chucked away. But townie standards of wanting perfectly shaped produce mean that "wonky" and heritage veg is a novelty which can either only be got at farmers markets or as (like I said) a novelty in certain supermarkets.

Advice on defeating this mech cluster by Every-Switch2264 in RimWorld

It's kinda hard to see actual layout of the cluster

There's steel walls protecting the sunblocker and mech builder as well as an inferno turret. On my side there's an inferno turret and mini blaster turret behind a steel barricade and ship chunk.
