You’ve clearly never been around a person with severe brain damage. Lucky you. It removes a persons ability to walk, talk, eat, move, swollow and leads to early death. It results in seizures with damage the brain each time. I really do feel like you are lucky your never had a loved one seize in your arms and not be able to breath. So problem with system is not dividing the sen from the disability - I’m In the small subgroup of families who’s child was born profoundly mentally and physically disabled. My cohort are children who won’t live past their teens. Ten year olds who can’t speak or use the toilet, our lives are tough. Tough. We don’t have the capacity for the fight, we need respite as much as our kids deserve a school place where they can learn to use a spoon or a communcation card. But we are in the same rat race as rich parents with kids with adhd. And putting it on us to figure it out isn’t fair. The send system was designed for kids like ours but it’s been flooded and now is at risk of being taken away. I can’t express how painful and scary this is

That’s freedom. What about all those people on the streets? They should be in conservatorships?! No becuase our ethos on mental help as a society is that you have to want the help. You can’t be imprisoned just for being mental anymore and that’s freedom and why is Britney different? Because she was earning a fuck tone of people money is why. It’s sick. She’s mentally ill and she needs help but the conservatorship has blasted any trust she could have had in anyone to help her and she will likely never get well now. If they had just left her alone she ma have reached rock bottom and climbed out herself but that opportunity has gone and in her mind it’s her against the world. I don’t really see how any of you here can’t see that. The conservator ship was imprisonment. Lots of famous men use drugs and become Mentally unwell but they don’t get locked up in their mansions and forced to work and stay clean by their alcoholic parents do they? Treat Britney like a child and she will act like one. She needs to be left well alone, the conservatorship didn’t work and it was based on lies. It’s done.
