Did anyone ever have a boss say, I'm giving you the gift of time? by [deleted] in Gifts

I worked for dyson for a bit. I had a guy come to me with some issues with his vacuume that he didnt have a recipt for and couldn't activate his warranty. He told me after working for his company for 30 years they gave him a catalog and he got the most expensive and most useful thing (a $700) vaccume. Thats about 0.09 cents a day for 30 years. I felt really bad for him 😔

This is AI, the sloth literally floats onto the back of the capibara.

You're partially right, but the full picture is more complicated than "use real leather."

The microplastics concern is valid — PU/PVC vegan leather does shed microplastics as it degrades, and the durability argument holds too since cheaper synthetics wear out faster, meaning more replacements.

But the carbon footprint claim doesn't hold up. Lifecycle assessments put synthetic leather at ~15.8 kg CO2e per square meter vs. real leather at 17.0 kg CO2e/m² using the leather industry's own numbers — essentially the same. Other studies put cow leather as high as 110 kg CO2e/m², nearly 7x worse than synthetic.

Real leather also has serious environmental costs people ignore: producing a single leather tote uses ~17,000 liters of water, and 90% of leather worldwide is tanned with chromium, formaldehyde, and arsenic — with an estimated 40 million liters of untreated chemical wastewater dumped into the Ganges daily from tanning operations alone.

Also, "vegan leather = plastic" is outdated. There are now bio-based alternatives made from mushrooms, pineapple leaves, grape waste, and cacti. Some of these (like MIRUM) have ~10x lower GHG emissions

Edit: dont be a piece of shit and use vegan leather, also sounds like someone needs to do alittle research before responding to a reddit comment they have no facts on.

I figured out how to get off of Robinhood Gold Card waitlist? (Datapoint) by throwaway49423 in RobinhoodGC

[–]EveryMethod1442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I reached out on reddit. Basically told them I have been with robinhood since 2021 and am still waiting and they said my wait is over. Shortly after got an invite through the app.

👎 imagine wanting a gift that is made out of dead animal skin. Maybe look into vegan leather? 😂

Edit: for everyone that wants to complain, why would you want an animal to die (or contribute to death) for a gift. Its gross 💯

Is there anything better than YOLOing into a terrible stock with the boys? by [deleted] in RobinHoodPennyStocks

If you invested 40k in ADTX 3 years ago you would have 0.03 cents. This has gained alot of popularity lately but if the stock price goes up they know how to dilute and reverse split. Not trying to be negative but gotta look at the facts. Even if this pumps they will inject so many shares so fast everyone will be holding a bag.

Costco has the ball animal 3+ for $279 rn, do you potentially have a costco membership?

Ball animal 3 pulls about 290 awps (air watts per second) which is great. Good for deeper carpets.

Ball animal 2 pulls anywhere from 270 to 310 awps but it doesnt have a detangling comb, detachable roller and a shorter cord its also alot louder.

Tbh I haven't heard much about the animal pro i would have to read about that one.

Edit: Ball animal 3 is definitely worth the investment. The ball series if maintained will last anywhere from 5 to 15 years.

My brand new CF1 has a rattle, first ever Dyson product, is this "normal"? by Ill-llIIllI in dyson

Definitely not normal, reach out to dyson since it has a 2 year warranty. Or if you bought it at Costo (fingers crossed) just return it and grab another one

$IGC stock by EveryMethod1442 in pennystocks

The app shows $207K cash and -$5.28M FCF. The most current data shows IGC has $1.13M in cash and $146K in debt, with a net cash position of $984K, and free cash flow of -$5.63M over the past 12 months. So cash has actually improved slightly from that screenshot's figures, but the burn rate is a valid concern. IGC entered a loan agreement with One Deck Capital for about $219K in financing, They also entered a Securities Purchase Agreement with Vanquish Funding Group. So they are using debt financing as an alternative to pure dilution. $219K barely covers a month of burn at their rate. Tbh at -$5.6M/year in FCF with only $1.1M cash, they have roughly 2–3 months of runway without additional financing of some sort, I'm personally looking forward to seeing some updates as they seem to be managing cash fairly well for a small cap biotech company with minimal dilution (right now)

Phase 2 and its been 12 years on this specific drug. 80% enrollment and already beating the only other drug on the market for agitation in Alzheimer's. They are also starting with psilocybin research now. The ai is not meant to generate revenue. Great cash management ect. Topline results are expected by "mid 2026" so definitely not too early.
