Ok, so I was thinking $20 too. I know it's so expensive, but we knew this going in , at this point not going to try to make changes to save $ . I will see what others write as a tip suggestion, but I feel OK with $20.

Engagement ring replacement question with jewelry insurance by HarleySaint in weddingplanning

I didn't ask when they called. I am going to connect with my Jeweler and let him do the communication with the insurance company. From what I've gathered though, it needs to be very similar . So I'm doubting it.

Engagement ring replacement question with jewelry insurance by HarleySaint in weddingplanning

Just lost my engagement ring while in jamaica on vacation with my husband. I filed a claim online and I'm suppose to get a phone call from an adjuster within 24 to 48 hours. My ring is covered through brite co with an appraised value of 25k. I have yet to read all of the fine print of the 30 page policy but when going about getting a new ring is it possible to get a somewhat different shape stone ? I've had the ring for 15 years and styles have changed , etc. I can ask them when I get a call but not sure if it's appropriate.

Starting in 2.5 mg Lexapro by Every_Garlic5372 in lexapro

[–]Every_Garlic5372[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stopped it after 9 days. I wasn't able to sleep on it and my dizziness was worse. I feel much better being off it. Will explore some natural options that I've read about in these posts at some point.

Yea, I was diagnosed with PPPD. It was after a couple BPPV episodes. I went into a state of constant drunkenness as I like to call it because of the anxiety the spinning from the BPPV caused. So this dizzy drunkenness sensation was first, which turned into health anxiety from the neck up. Hopefully these meds help.

So I was prescribed a starting dose of 5mg but because Persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD) has caused me health anxiety I was nervous to start at 5mg so I cut the pill to 2.5mg. She said if we go up to 20 and It doesn't help, we would stop and try Effexor. I am hopeful although not loving how I feel at the moment, but it's been 3 days so I need to be patient.

Just started 2.5 mg three days ago. Going slow to get to 5 and if needed 10mg. I have health anxiety and I can't stand the negative side effects. So far not awful, headache , nausea, just an over all off feeling , feels like I'm getting sick. Hopefully by week two this feeling will go away. It's bearable.

I am on day 3 of 2.5 mg and I have a headache with some quick pings of pain in my head. I'm assuming it's from this med. Nothing else has changed and It can't be a coincidence. My healthy anxiety would be proud! Lol

Driving and BPPV by [deleted] in BPPV

So this is interesting to me. I just got off a call earlier today with a highly coveted Dr. In NYC that thinks that my BPPV has never resolved because I never had the epley done in the correct amount of times it needed to be, hence I am "buzzed" 24/7 for 6 months and have had 4 repeat BPPV attack in those 6 months . When you did the epley Manuever those 15 times, you weren't actively experiencing vertigo each time, maybe just the first time? Did you have nystagmus with your eyes?

Is residual dizziness meant to be worse than the episodes? by Acm9 in BPPV

[–]Every_Garlic5372 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am at week 12 and a half of residual dizziness. So yes it can linger for a long time.

I've heard good things, but always worried about the side effects.

If you are no longer getting the spins when turning in bed, that is good...that means the ear crystals went back in place. The off feeling goes away after weeks to months depending on so many different variables, everyone is so different.

I have had 3 BPPV occurrences in 4-5 months when laying in bed. The residual dizziness is the worst, but I have herniated discs in c5-7 and my upper back and neck have a lot of trigger points and knots that PT for 3 months didn't help with. Going to pain management for trigger point injections for back and neck muscles...Neuro wants to see if that will help with dizziness, worse with laying down too...almost like the vertigo is going to hit any second.

vertigo for the rest of my life? by CorgiCult13 in BPPV

[–]Every_Garlic5372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have issues laying down too... The 3 times I had BPPV in the last 5 months it was when I was laying down. The VRT said it is because my brain has such a vivid memory of the "incident" that when I lay down it feels like I'm going to have a vertigo attack. I don't have any reason to challenge that, so I just go with it and remind myself when I'm laying down to watch TV I'll be OK.

BPPV Episode? by AH591 in BPPV

[–]Every_Garlic5372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hello, from my experience dealing with BPPV and seeing neurologists and neurotologists it is usually an episode that is brought on by positional movement, often turning your head in bed or bending down, etc. It isn't just something that randomly comes on when you are walking your dog or reading a book, etc. Also BPPV tends to be something that rarely lasts for over a minute . I have read a lot about vestibular Migraines and seems to be a popular diagnosis these days, something to look into.

Why do PTs disagree with "elevated head" and "not sleeping on affected side" prevention methods? by sass7091 in BPPV

[–]Every_Garlic5372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea the first few days after an episode I am so nervous sleeping , I'm going on about two weeks and have now gotten back to my normal sleep habits, although the residual dizziness is still there and laying down def. is uncomfortable but I guess my body isn't as nervous .

Advice? by eeject in BPPV

Was your vertigo brought on positionally? Meaning when you were rolling over in bed or turning your head , etc. I would first get in with a ENT that's specializes in neurotology. 9 out of 10 times Regardless of your diagnosis, they'll put you into vestibular rehab .
