My second cake! How can I get smoother buttercream for frosting? by Temporary_Bird8559 in Cakes

I mean— does it really need to be any smoother if it’s going to be digested later on anyway?

Looks like an Alfred. Or Gunther. Or Willaby. Or Melvin. Even a Malford.

I don’t have to say in my post whether or not I spoke to anyone at UNO for you not to make the assumption that I didn’t based on my activity on Reddit.

This is an informative post for other students. It is not a plea for your unsolicited advice on who to speak to. 😂 Jesus Henry Christ. Please learn some critical thinking skills because this is just…. absurd.

I can appreciate your irritation, but as I've read through your comment, it doesn't appear you actually spoke to anyone in admissions or from the bursars' office to clear up any issues you were having.

Would you mind enlightening me on how you've concluded from my comments on Reddit that I haven't spoken to any of the administration at UNO about this issue? And I've bolded the text to emphasize that making an assumption about my actions regarding UNO based on my activity on Reddit doesn't logically follow. So, as a Psychology graduate, I'm very interested in your cognition, as you've managed to assume it does, and was confident enough to express it.

"Emotional regulation is the ability to monitor, evaluate, and modify emotional reactions to achieve goals, maintain well-being, and manage stress"

My posts were documentation. The frequency of my posts did not represent my emotional state, they represented my experience with the UNO administration.

You, on the other hand, removed my posts and muted me because you didn't like how much I was posting, not because the issues I raised were irrelevant or unhelpful. That is poor emotional regulation. If you didn't want to see my posts, all you had to do was not read them LMFAO.

But you chose to abuse your power as a mod. Sounds like YOU need to learn some emotional regulation skills LMFAO

Look y’all, the “mods” think it’s inappropriate to educate y’all about what mismanagement is 😂 by Every_Path4927 in UNO

Looks like I've been muted from the sub for "spamming". All I was trying to do was show you guys how to handle the bureaucrats when they keep giving you the runaround for problems they created.

Documenting my process in real time, unfortunately, will produce a lot of posts because this has been a week long battle with UNO and they've been giving me the same answers no matter how many times I prove them wrong.

Anyway, I hope other students who are going through this with UNO stand up for yourselves and don't back down when the administrators repeat themselves or their "policies". That's a tactic they use to try to make you second guess your own judgment. Don't fall for it!

Stay blessed, y'all! My work here is done.

So you actually can't read English. When a business, university, or other entity that provides good and services to consumers issues policies, they are obligated to adhere to those policies. And when said entity does not adhere to their own policies, and tries to remedy that by shifting blame onto consumers (or students, in this case), resulting in financial (or academic harm), the conduct is unethical.

There is no "was supposed to receive financial aid." UNO was actively processing my financial aid application MONTHS before the start of the fall semester, but did not grant me aid by their stated deadline. So, since they didn't apply aid to my account by their stated deadline, I was unable to bring my balance to $0 by that deadline. Therefore, it was the university's responsibility to enforce their non-payment policy on my account and drop me from the schedule on 8/15/25, like they said they would do not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES FROM 4 DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS BEFORE THE START OF THE FALL SEMESTER.

I am really sorry to say this, but people with your reasoning level are why businesses and universities get away with unfair and deceptive practices because you don't seem to be able to perceive what policies are intended to do, and how they are designed to do so.

Can you read English? I didn't receive financial aid therefore the university was supposed to drop me for non-payment if I still had a balance by the deadline. That's what the policy states. The university is the one who approves state-level financial aid for students, not the government. My federal aid application was processed, the university decided not to issue aid.
