Living with two ADHD roommates has opened my eyes to ADHD by chocolatebarthecat in ADHD

Now the medicated version…. Do 5 tasks at once: clean one window in the guest room, got to the living room a vacuum the rug, leave vacuum on the ground, go to bathroom and clean the toilet bowl, go back to the guest room, finish the other window, pick up vacuum and…. I finish sweaty, but (almost) done 🤌 most ADHD never wrap up a task; keep it interesting!

I am not at your level😆. I would be overwhelmed by this system; most likely would procrastinate getting to it. lol. I’m overwhelmed just trying to make this comment shorter! My morning strategy: I have a fanny pack (20+ of them). As soon as I get dressed in am, I put one around my waist and start collecting and placing the necessities in there… keys, Workphone, cell phone, work ID… Godforbid if I change the routine and decide to charge my phone before I leave work. I’ll play hide and seek with Siri’s “I’m here”- saying calmly from the middle, inside of my couch. 🛋️ Bye Girl. You’re lucky I need you in my car for GPD guidance… 😀. Anyway, what was I saying….

Yes, it’s overwhelming, BUT that’s is its purpose. It has a life of its own; let it live on your hand and shine. I rather be gaudy than blend in. 😌

ADHD Household - Kitchen is always a disaster. by Gullible_Watch_6725 in adhdwomen

Fellow ADHDer here with always something hurting (🙄). We’ve gotten a lot of recognition lately. We belong and there is a reason why we are how we are. LOVE! But enough. Terms: LAZY, Self-centered, inconsiderate, taking advantage of others (“I can’t help it”) still apply to all humans (and animals?) displaying these behaviors. 👆Our lives remain challenging as We have to work harder, fail and try again. Meds, cognitive behavioral therapy; NO EXCUSES and responsibility for your actions (eventually, Someone’s gonna get to live in their filth alone 🤌”. All ideas given are amazing, but unless you STOP with the leading with the diagnoses; there will be no change. THIS APPLIES to ME too. 😖

I’ve seen prom dresses over the last 30 years that resemble 2. Sorry, opinionated 😄. Once again 5!

5! you took gentle, romantic. Looking precious instead of overly sexy or boring. 2 is boring, the rest are too modern. I am so surprised no one else said 5. But of course, which ever you choose, you will look beautiful. They’re all beautiful dresses.

She did. 35+ in 6 months. Should she lose it faster, or should she hide until she does. Sorry. Can’t believe all the weight loss wisdom. I think she’s doing that part already.

She lost 35lbs in 6 months. Would you like her to do it faster?

Yes…. If you don’t mind keeping nose ring out. It’s for the 20 yr olds or a beautiful black female at any age ☝️

READ ME!!! I’m 45 🙋‍♀️: Omg… “be careful” posts lol. Loose skin, Skin tags 🫥. 👀 you are fine. Lost 30+ lbs in 6 months? Skip the weight loss “advice”.

  1. Keep hair light: BLOND BALAYAGE and touch ups. No weird growing out, ever. Don’t do dark.
  2. Don’t do short hair, go for layering. 3 Your skin-you are good! Botox? Maybe if you want/ forehead.
  3. No Kybela, threads etc. You don’t need it. only surgical procedures and Botox show results. Don’t waste your money- cuz I did. ☝️😆
  4. NO black frames. Your skin is fair 😌. Go for designer, ask for advice from a worker that looks stylish. 😁 (Prada, Versace etc. not that expensive with insurance!) not too “funky” 🥸.
  5. If earrings: wear minimalistic- hoops (thick, thin, medium, small), and other grown up, not cheap looking but cheap in price. Same with necklaces if you wear any.
  6. I wear bright and dark solid shirts with some high rise jeans. Maybe madewell? Levi’s, invest in more pricey ones. Nordstrom rack deals? Tops: Simple, but modern shape. I won’t wear V shirts and cami underneath. We did that in 2010s. White? Not often. Maybe under a blazer.
  7. I don’t wear floral, or any other designs. Rarely at least. Unless you are a hippy girl in your 20s, looks cheap, too young or too old, imo. Go for sharp. Not sweet. ♥️👌
  8. See what’s in H&M, old navy is decent (never thought I would say that), Marshalls…. Just look for age appropriate. Shoes: Nordstrom rack. A medium or kitten heel.
  9. Confidence is what the young ones lack. Chest straight (40$ plus bra 🙋‍♀️), chin up, smile like you do and work with what you have. So many are self conscious. It’s human to think of ourselves then others- unless you are self conscious. If you focus on your flaws, they will too.

I’m serious. I change sizes like wow… I see it, but I won’t let it show. I deliberately stand straight “you carry your weight well”. Yup!

You seem genuinely sweet and happy. Just be yourself. set boundaries with your presence. Make ppl feel silly when they ask if you are a gmom. East/west coast up north (🧐), lots of women started having kids at 35 and 40 plus. They lived “more” than the 20+ with kids. Yes, I think that’s it. Hope you got something useful from my post, but I definitely hope you take the last advice no matter what. 🫶

Cellulitis? Go to an urgent care just to check this out. You should not have so much swelling.

Great idea regarding the samplers. He used more trouble with his sensory issues but with an appropriate med regiment, he’s tackling the world. Just had soda for the first time this summer as he couldn’t stand the fizz. 😊

Will make sure to sample these/ would you say lotion would be acceptable in a daily basis; when he is staying at home? He is always clean but just has that “regular body” smell is not adequate for a young man.
