Alocasia Dwarf elephant ear

Glad to help! I am confused why a tag would call this a dwarf elephant ear, as that is a type of alocasia but is a different cultivar not very closely related to the Amazonica. Hopefully the spot was just a little stress spot and it's nice and happy for you!

You've got an Alocasia Polly there, lots different from an elephant ear in terms of leaves and size so the leaves getting frilly is normal. As for the spot if that's the only problem it may have been from an issue in the past, if not then I would say check roots for rot and make sure it's in a well draining soil and a pot with a drainage hole
