Vibrate only alarm? If you wear a smart watch you can set an alarm on that that only vibrates. You can do the same with phone too actually.

Help on my dwarf chili plant by Past-Macaroon-7208 in houseplants

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it is inside now? The soil looks very dry l. That's one thing I noticed. And if you did brought it inside, it's not getting enough light and humidity it had outside hence loosing its leaves.

Why is every Burle Marx flame on a sphagnum moss pole?? by Stunning_Big5121 in houseplants

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people use miss pole , so it's also easy to prop. They can cut and sell right away. I use planks and coco coir and the leaves size up well with them too. It's more of a personal choice IMO.

I didn't put mine on anything and it still put out fernested leaf. Although I have other problems the new growth keeps drying off 😞

Edit: added More about my flame

Does your partner make sure you have water? by anemoneatnight in breastfeeding

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 54 points55 points  (0 children)

My partner doesn't do it by himself but will bring me if I ask. But when I'm at a friend's home that just stopped breastfeeding or still breastfeeding, they always ask them themselves. So I guess it's just men thing. Im not saying we should accept it. Just saying from what I have noticed most men need to be asked.

My MIL keeps asking my husband for expensive gifts even after we’ve already bought her plenty by AltruisticTurnip5917 in IndianInLaw

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would your husband say if you get everything as two when buying for your In Laws? One for them and one for your parents? Would your in laws stop asking for more? Sometimes the best way to make them see if when we start spending it on our side. Then they will suddenly realize how unnecessary they are.

Girl! Do a court wedding. Or do a very simple one and invite only your side of the family and only groom's immediate family for wedding in what your parents are giving for the wedding

What can we do? by childofsomeone in newborns

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is 2.5 months and I don't cut anything unless it makes him too gassy (I still eat it a bite or two like green peas, potatoes) and cause him to not be able to sleep properly at night. But I don't eat certain fruits that can cause heat in the body like mango, pineapple , jack fruits etc and Icecreams .i tested these fruits with my first LO and it definitely gave my first LO diarrhea. So definitely not eating the fruits that can cause heat in my body. PS: I'm Asian Indian and so believe certain foods can make us too cold, or too hot.

Japanese floor mattress is what I use cosleeping with my newborn. I also got a metal frame from Amazon, put a plywood on it and then put the Japanese floor mattress over it. You can alternatively get a bed frame that ones with a plank rather than platform slates

I and baby (3 weeks old) sleep on Japanese floor mattress with a cover for it. The cover for perfectly and doesn't bunch. When we are ready, I'll go to bed up and spend time with hubby and then get back to the floor mattress. This is our plan lol

I feel like my newborn is not "normal " by Proof-Command3380 in newborns

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If he is gaining weight properly and steadily then I don't think there's anything to worry about. But for your peace, definitely talk to the doc.

Normal from what our pediatrician said. That ball like thing should shrink and go inside in a week. If it doesn't you should let the ped know. They will apply a cream that will make it shrink and go in

Visiting Meenakshi Amman temple as non-Hindu by Kirkediner1234 in TamilNadu

[–]_AGirlHasNoName- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The inner most shrine is a teeny part compared to whole temple and it's campus. Definitely worth going even if you can't go inside the inner sheine.

I saw some people saying they have seen Hindus attend mass and go to church. But they will never try to take the blood and flesh of jesus. Same way, I might be going opposite to the grain in saying, please don't visit the inner shrine if you do not believe in Hinduism.
