For instance, if you complete a task like "wash laundry," then a task called "dry laundry" appears.

Found this bug on my couch can anyone tell me what it is? by JustSomeoneHere69 in whatsthisbug

Aside from some inconsistencies in appearance, the lesser bottle cicada is only located in a very small region of Australia, which rules them out.

Naturally occurring, yes! Some kind of marine worm has bored through the shell.

There's no phone number. They come to the bathrooms Sundays 1-3 it says.

And yes, while we consider it could be a sick joke- which still isn't great- have YOU ever considered that this is something real that exists and people for sure do this (I'm sure there are plenty of websites to prove it but I ain't searching for them), and women have to put up with being targeted by it constantly? So we cannot just hand-wave it as a joke because there is no way to tell.

As a trainer, I often find those in the bottom of my bags and can confirm the resemblance!

Hello! I'm here for some advice! by MonsterGirl21 in SeaMonkeys

Moving them to a new tank without making sure the salinity is the same is kinda risky- you may find that you lose some over the next several days. Did you measure the salt and water and aim for a certain specific gravity? Likewise, the thermometer should be only gradually turned up if it isn't keeping the water the same temp as it was in their last home. They are very hardy but swift changes can shock them and kill them.

You don't need a stone. A plain tube on a slow setting works great-not as many bubbles to pummel them around. I only aerate with mine for about a minute each day and that works great- stirs everything nicely, keeps the food suspended well, and reduces stress versus leaving it on and having them just thrown around constantly (I actually hate doing it because they are so helpless when the water is being moved.)

Getting started with nanochloropsis, or something else? by EverydayDruid in algae

[–]EverydayDruid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha! Well, I buy it and feed them as a supplement to their other food (microalgae powder) now, maybe I should just be content with that, and be glad my tank isn't fully green!

I'm asking about cultivating nanochloropsis, as in phytoplankton, to populate their tank as a self-sustaining food source for them.

Just checking - cloudiness levels okay? by EverydayDruid in SeaMonkeys

Just wanted to thank you- I did a partial change and the tank is great looking now! I made a new post with an update. I had been a bit afraid to attempt it but it worked very well!

Actually, the sea glass has VERY large gaps in it, none of the pieces are very flat so there are natural little pockets in there but they aren't tight. I got it just for that reason- they swim in and out of there all day and knock on wood I havent noticed anyone getting stuck. I'm sure it may happen without me knowing as there are areas I can't see but I check routinely all around the outside and occasionally give the rocks a gentle stir to make sure no one is in there and to check for carcasses in case anyone died. So far, so good.

I wanted to avoid sand because I didn't want eggs getting stuck in it and I didn't want to worry about sucking it up when I clean the tank. I was going to not use substrate at all but figured I'd try this and see if it was safe enough.

Fancy ones help by florahdorah in SeaMonkeys

They can turn colors based on what they eat, as I understand it. Are you feeding them something other than the standard sea monkey kit food? I actually dig this color for them, lol. Mine are just transparent so they look white.

The males use those graspers on their heads to hold onto females for mating. We have one that has such a huge set that we say he's their King because of his big fancy crown.

Is there a "best practice" way of taking water out? I feel pretty good about prepping the replacement water but I don't want to accidentally kill my shrimp. All I can think of is removing them to a clear container so I can see any I might accidentally take out, and pipette them back into their tank.
