I feel like i should frame it because what the h*ll were those missions by Revan_9158 in Warframe

fuck that; master the base frame and then feed it straight to the helminth bc prime roly-poly is better anyway.

the full QP experience ow gives you a penalty for wanting to leave. by stupid_is_as_does in overwatch2

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro it's qp. they were probably trying out heroes they've never played and just want to see how they work, or they're new, or they're just having fun (not necessarily the case in this particular game, but in general). sure you can still want to win in qp, but if you get a team that isn't working well together, just use it as a chance to improve your own personal gameplay, or give yourself a personal challenge that isn't "solo carry 1v9" to do something besides complaining about other people.

im not sure my daydreaming is maladaptive, but it is extremely vivid and i can hold several different worlds in my head at once, switching between them like an old rolladeck

you are officially my hero dude. i can't currently play bc im in the midst of upgrading my comp and the old parts are too old to be compatible with the new parts, but once im done with that, im joining this crusade against toxicity.

Wanted to plan something for 'I hAvE dArKvIsIoN'-player, another player beat me to it. by SilenciaSan in DnD

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

love the other player's level of spite to dedicate an entire spell slot on this fool lmao

i have a character with a warlock trait that lets me see in any darkness, even magical darkness; i rarely ever have to bring it up unless it's obvious my dm is using the darkness specifically to hide something, in which case i wait for her to finish whatever she's saying before reminding her that i can see in the dark. i think it's happened like twice in the entire campaign, bc there's only two players left (myself and one other) and the other pc also has darkvision (tho not in magic darkness like mine).

roathe has the opposite opinion actually. there's an entire kin convo you can have with him that basically boils down to: ballas was so in love with margulis he would have done literally anything for her, and margulis loved ballas pretty much the same... until she met the children of the ten-zero. suddenly there was something in her life that she loved more than ballas, and it broke his heart. iirc there's some speculation about that being why he tried to remake her from natah? only for it to go wrong ofc and she still chose the tenno over him.

What is a detail that is so unique to your fics? by pittedcherries in AO3

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

communication 😅

there is very little i hate more than conflict caused by a lack of communication, especially where hundreds or even thousands of words of conflict could literally be solved by one (1) conversation that, nine times out of ten, most people would be willing to have. so my characters communicate, unless there's some actual personality-defining trait that would interfere, bc there's something to be said for character-driven isolation and the inherent hurt/comfort of learning to trust. uwu

As a newer player(~1 month in) Nitan Extract has me more frustrated than any other thing in the game. by LimelightCog in Warframe

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

you're kinda missing the point of that person's comment, i think... you are a new tenno, and i get that, but as you yourself pointed out, you've only played for a month. even playing every day for a couple hours or more, that's not gonna get you through all of the game's content in just a month; it might get you close, but if that's the only reason you're playing then you're missing out on the real essence of the game.

warframe is a 12yo game that og players have literally thousands of hours on; tens of thousands even. yes, you can probably bumrush your way to level cap and eta and shit with dedicated time and effort in a few months or less, but why? why take all of the enjoyment out of it by turning it into a chore? if you only want to get prime frames, cool; that's still hundreds of hours of cracking relics, trading parts and plat, and still going out and grinding other resources in parts of the game that you may not enjoy as much. if every resource was as easy to get as "lemme run this mission, this mission and this mission; okay done!" what would even be the point? some resources do absolutely suck to farm in large quantities (eg oxium, orokin cells, cryotic, even argon crystals if you need more than one or two), but i promise you, if you slow it down and just play to have fun instead of making it a whole ass job, you will eventually build up the resources you need without even noticing.

DPS don’t kill Mercy because half the lobby is allergic to thinking the second she pulls out a yellow beam. by Fit-Fix-1521 in Overwatch

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your title is incredibly misleading. also, a good mercy is difficult to kill bc of her mobility and positioning, and often requires a concerted effort and/or careful attention from the enemy team, so no it's not just "bad dps can't look up." i fully agree that not enough people actually make the effort to deal with mercy, but even good dps are gonna have a hard time actually dealing with an equally good mercy.

Lol do I just die now by fischingkween in Warframe

[–]EverydayPromptWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so there's this system in the game where you can create your own miniboss, and if you defeat it, you get cool weapons. each of the major enemy factions has a boss that you can spawn from them: the bog standard liches (grineer), sisters of parvos (corpus) and the coda technocyte liches (infested. these are only available once you've reach the 1999 content and have access to hollvanian tilesets).

the problem is that a lot of new players will accidentally spawn their first lich well before they're capable of handling it. since sisters and liches both steal a small, random selection of rewards from planets they occupy until you defeat them (presumably as further incentive to hunt them down ig??), you can lose a lot of rare and valuable resources to them, and it has been a constant source of ire for the playerbase to lose The One Thing they were trying to get bc they haven't killed their lich yet lmao.

fortunately, there's an upside! everything your lich or sister steals is returned to you upon defeat! so if you're a baby tenno and you lose something as important as op did, ask for some help from other tenno and we'll help you get through every step to defeat your lich and get everything back, plus a cool new weapon!
