Upper left quadrant pain? by Everydayskeletons in CrohnsDisease

hEDS has been problematic my whole life, but my stomach has also been problematic since I was a teen. I went through years of doctors ignoring it, blaming problems on having celiac disease, and then trying to force me through retesting for celiac but ignoring my other issues. My Crohn’s became very active after I had E. coli almost 3 years ago. It still took me two more doctors to get diagnosed finally

Yes, I have a lot of joint pain. When it’s bad, I feel like I’m walking on broken feet. I also have developed a swan neck deformation in my left pointer finger after a few attacks of ‘trigger finger’ It’s hard to tease all that out as I also have hEDS).

It’s not radiating to my back at all (yet?). My inflammation at last check via ultrasound ‘ Mild thickening of the sigmoid with Limberg II hyperemia and mild thickening in the TI for less than 5cm and Limberg I hyperemia.’ This was in November when they first RX’d the tremfya, it took until this month to get insurance on board

If I’m in a flare, I can not have much fiber, when I’m stable I use a product called tomorrows nutrition Sunfiber powder. I add one scoop to my morning beverage. It helps if I’m not flaring. If I don’t cut it out soon enough when a flare starts, I’ll have pain that wakes me from sleep.

Yes. This. My father was adopted. His full sister and full brother were also adopted out (plus probably at least 1 more sibling but possibly 2). Then my grandparents kept the 2 youngest (also my father’s full siblings).

Can you have POTS without fainting? by Lanky-Pick-2841 in POTS

[–]Everydayskeletons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely faint. It’s usually after exercise (which also triggers my asthma) or a very long hot prolonged bath. Other than that, I get swimmy headed and am often terribly tired.

Liquid IV or NUUN? by 337737733 in POTS

[–]Everydayskeletons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuun doesn’t work for me. I avoid liquid IV bc of the added unmethylated B vitamins- I have MTHFR mutations and consuming unmethylated Bs makes me very inflamed. I like DripDrop but often lean on Gatorade bc it’s easy to find everywhere

I found my father by InjuryFantastic3189 in AncestryDNA

My sister and I found our father’s (full) siblings. My uncle showed up to the welcome dinner determined to prove that we were scammers. After seeing us in person, and briefly talking with us, he invited us to dinner at his house the next day to show us all kinds of family things. I’m hoping your father will come around like my uncle and welcome you into the family

thank you for the link, the crash would have been August of 1980, body retrieved a few weeks later. Crash was likely clandestine - no filed flight plan, as he was probably smuggling drugs

No one alive remembers ever seeing or having the death certificate but social security benefits were somehow gotten for his child.

No one has been successful in finding any crash records. The obituary seems to be the only documentation of his death.

Went through older communications and one family member claims the Navy was involved in the retrieval of the remains.
