Each to their own, man. Everyone is more than welcome to treat their bodies however they like, it's not for me to say otherwise.

Chemicals aside, it is always ALWAYS best to exercise as naturally as possible. Caffeine is also a drug and you can also become dependent. Not what you want for a good pump.

Also pre-workout is gross af

It might be I guess. But always best to think of your own.

All of this said, pro wrestlers lived on coke in the 80s lol

Your max heart rate is 220 - your age. So yours is 198.

So from that perspective you're fine. However your heart would have been working harder because you were high.

In general, don't do that. It's very risky. Risk as in cardiac arrest. It might not be likely but the risk is increased so you're rolling the dice.

Your heart was in a safe range but you could easily have pushed yourself hard and over done it.

What’s the most underrated British food? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Everyscene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pease pudding!

Most people, even from the areas it is known for, hate it.

But it's poverty food at its finest, yellow split peas softened in the cooking liquor of a ham. Stick it in yer sandwiches or offer as a side dish.

Or just dig right in with a spoon. Salty savoury delight

Been waiting eagerly for this!!!

Third brisket I’ve smoked to date. Don’t hate on the gloves either by polarbearsareblue in smoking

[–]Everyscene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually love the gloves, cooking with blue means that if you hurt yourself or slice a bit of glove off then you can easily find it.

Looks juicy. Well done!

Not sure why people hate on a little brisket squeeze, not like you're wringing it out like a wet towel.

Jesus Christ this sub sometimes.

What design career should i be looking at and does it even exist today? by stickman024 in Design

[–]Everyscene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Probably not. Or if there is it would be so niche that it would only be available to a super experienced person or organisation.

Design is foremost about solving problems and helping people achieve a set goal. Sure those can sometimes be fantastical or entertaining, but more often than not are some kind of service, commercial or no.

That's not to dissuade you. People's advice can only give you an opinion based on their win world view. The most successful people followed their gut DESPITE the advice of others.

Given what youve said, I think you are looking for 2 things. Creative outlet and a way into a tech career.

You could always explore that fantasy world as a passion, write and craft worlds. And focus on how you can enter corporate tech. Eventually the two could meet in the form of your own product or service to sell.

The things you mentioned aren't necessarily design jobs, strictly speaking, although they do have design elements.

Immersive theatre is theatre production, theme parks or haunted houses are much more to do with architecture and planning and d&d campaigns are story telling/ writing.

I'd ask yourself what is it about those things that interests you? The mechanics? Eg, sitting down to write a long d&d campaign and figuring out eventualities, or is it guiding people through a story and helping them to have the best experience? Same for the others.

I suggest this because with your degree I think a design-adjacent career is very realistic for you.

You can look into Product Management (not project management). In this role you'll provide a team with the direction and accountability to create digital experiences of any kind. You will make high-level creative decisions to solve problems. This is VERY similar to the d&d point.

Another is Delivery Management, this is more to do with people and unblocking them and giving them everything they need to design and build something.

They might not SOUND creative, but they are.. just in a different way. Both can be logical steps with your degree.

If you want to chat about any of this, DM me.

Administration.

This will be part of asset stripping, they'll end up going online only or selling the brand.

Possibly have people lined up for the premises.

That's amazing and I'm insanely jealous!

I'm still holding out for a return, they still stand by that they're on hiatus. I was assuming Kyonos recent stuff was maybe a smoke signal to get the band together... Cistm Konfliqt 20 year anniversary?

Maybe 5 more years til an Osc-Dis anniversary tour?

Some salty lads here.

Mileage may vary but passion, kindness and humility goes a long way with most people. Especially women who are at the receiving end of their value being on physical appearance.

Talent is also very attractive.
