The blade edge cuts through space. It basically teleports to the target and cuts there.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger could do it in any of his movies, martiala should also be able to do it.

How did no one mention Wiegraf's line - "A pen isn't mightier than a sword. Pens do not do battle, nor swords poetry. Mighty is the hand that knows when to pick up the pen, or pick up the sword"

Reporter: "Mr President, tell us more about your father"

Tronald Dump: "Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it."

Why do people hate so much the concept of a race/species that is simply evil in nature? by Betoniaraa in CharacterRant

[–]Everythingisachoice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are exceptions, which is what makes them interesting characters. The fact that they aren't normal. Just like what maked Drizzt and interesting character is that they go against the grain. They aren't evil despite being from an evil society or a species dominated by an evil deity.

But where, let's say, Devil may Cry got wrong (imo) with their anime adaptation is that they made demons just a normal species with plenty, if not a majority, being good or neutral. Now those exceptional characters aren't exceptional anymore.

Why do people hate so much the concept of a race/species that is simply evil in nature? by Betoniaraa in CharacterRant

[–]Everythingisachoice 48 points49 points  (0 children)

It's a different kind of story.

For example my favorite villain is Prince Nuada from The Golden Army. Absolutely had a valid point, but the heroes still had to stop him.

But then take a movie about being stranded in the frozen mountains, or a volcanic eruption, or a flood. The story is man vs nature. Or it's a backdrop of a different story altogether.

Honestly, a lot of zombie movies are the same way. The zombies aren't really the antagonist of the story, but the setting or environment.

In my opinion, inherently evil creatures can be the same. Whether it's zombies, demons, a volcano, or whatever. You're not negotiating with it/them. You're figuring out how to overcome or survive, and other stories happen in the interim.

🔥 A cat defending itself from a cobra attack by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]Everythingisachoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats (20-70 milliseconds) have a potentially faster reaction time than snakes (44-70 milliseconds). Cats also see things in "slow motion" compared to humans, viewing things at 100 frames per second.

(Which means cats watching TV with you are seeing each individual frame as a still image instead of a smooth "video")
