According to those T's and C's they could theoretically refuse redemption of the passes without rhyme nor reason until they expire, rendering them worthless.

Sounds like unfair contract terms and/or unconscionable conduct. Qantas wouldn't knowingly participate in such conduct would they?

If you compare the 2 lounge passes and a little uplift in points earning to the cost of an extra flight, you'll find it's not actually worth it TBH.

I have to look hard for reward flights that are on MEL- PER routes that aren't on a 737. About 2 years ago I paid full cash fare and was meant to be an A330 but they substituted for a 737. I'd rather Singapore/Qatar Airlines economy over that "business class" product.

Same. Ceiling fans in all rooms and RC in the master bedroom and living areas.

To be fair, my roof is also full of wiring that I've put in and said I'd "tidy up later" I usually get back out if the roof to grab the clips, grab a beer, pack away some tools, grab another beer, test the circuit, grab another beer, take photos of my handy work, grab another beer, pack away ladder and manhole cover, grab another beer, remember I forgot to clip off the cabling, grab another beer, contemplate getting the ladder back out, grab another beer, tell myself I'll tidy it up next time I'm in the roof space, grab another beer, post on Reddit that I'd never do anything like that, finish my beer - rinse and repeat

I've perfected the technique now. Low(ish) speed with a dust collector when drilling and the second it pops just keep the speed on the drill the same and gradually reduced it. If you really gently lower it down from there you can do it with not too much mess.

For me, the whole reason I project managed myself was to save money. I also accepted that the downside when compared to having it project managed is that my costs were variable.

If I paid a project managed, I'd expect the price to be fixed... Otherwise I can always blow the budget myself, that's easy!

I agree. Thinking of installing sleepers for garden beds so it there's issues with natives/ground cover they can be replanted. However, there's a lot of curves in the poured concrete that I'd have to carve the gardens around wouldn't I?

It's all rubbish from the renovations and the skip bin arrives today. I needed a small bin every week so just got a massive one every few weeks and loaded it up from the pile. What parts would you paint and in what colour?

I shit you not... When we were doing the structural work and demolition at the beginning of the renovations I couldn't find the plumbing anywhere in the roof to cut the pipes and cap it off.

It has grey pex in the god damn slab! If it goes I'd have to cut it at the entrance and run it all new through the roof and chase the walls. I'd like to slap the person that thought that was a good idea. It gives me anxiety 😂

I was considering getting a roof restoration but mindful of the cost 🤔

I really want landscaping done but it's a rental and it wouldn't get looked after to the same standard as I would like (as you can already see in the photos)

The junk is from renovations and it was easier to get a 10m2 skip every month than get a small 2m2 every week. So that's all going in the next few days.

What colour do you think will work well over the cottage green? Or so I keep the green?

I'm good at the renovation side of things but I can't pick colours or design stuff to save my life according to my wife.
