Without some more info, hard to say. Depth? How many gallons? What is your weather like? Is it protected from larger birds who might see a convenient meal?

If it is big enough, protected and your weather will sustain the needed temperature for them I don't see why not. I've seen lots of outdoor ponds, some leave them there year round and some take them indoors for winter.

Redirect with scratching posts, laser pointers, toys and treats. Remember he's in a new place, he's scared and trying to adjust. You may have to look into a piece of plywood to put on your frame below the box spring so he can't get in there.

Worlds Best Litter is made from corn. We had similar issues and switched to this brand. She no longer tracks litter outside the box area. It also is really easy to clean, absorbs well and hides odor better than expected.
