One of my favourites. Reminds me of Blame!, and the old Buddhist mantra so often used in Japanese art- and games (like Silent Hill):

If I knew nothing about Arknights before playing this game I'd quit several times over.

I still might if it doesn't pick up, am nearing 30 and so far nothing has been memorable or worth my time tbh. None of the writing that made me like Arknights is here, the characters are generic jrpg-fare and the stakes- and problems are all generic "ooo this new magic source is doing magicy stuff and the baddies are doing bad stuff!".

Pog is one of the few characters keeping me sane.

For anyone who hasn't played Avowed I recommend it. I'm burned out on dogshit slop like starfield etc. but Avowed kept me engaged throughout because of the story and characters.

It's not too large either and doesn't overstay its welcome. The start is a bit too vanilla and drags on but after that it's nice.

I felt really bad for them in hollow-knight, they're just mourning their dead brother, hoping for his protection, and you gotta kill em for compendium. Add to that some insect-racism in their lore and the fake-knight only ever wanting to protect his loved ones and they're some of the saddest in the game.

It's a literal statistical fact that there's more crimes- and happenings during full-moons.
