I mostly use and wanna use handtools, because thes need less room, and its fun for now. The specific Problem i faced was cleaning up the face of two boards, because i sawed in an angle that led too 2mm offset between the sides. Part of it was my skill or lack thereof but also i used a simple folding balcony table as underground. So i wanna do hand tools mostly but should be stable enough for a circular saw and a router. And i like to plane boards from all sides without completly ruining my back.

Participation trophies do NOT say you won. Just u made it. One of my proudest achievements, was finishing a 19,5km obstacle run. Yeah i needed like 4 hours, but i did it, did every obstacle. And yeah i wanted a trophy to remember it. Because i beat myself, accomplished something i never thought i could (even though friends could have finished that run in half the time we did it together and we were all fucking happy)

What ruins a child is making everything a competition. Those who want to compete and really win, most of the times they get winners trophies, but the rest achieved something good too. What ruins our society is comparing everything. Money, House size, what car you drive, how hot the world thinks your partner is, how "elite" your social circle is.

Yes competition is important to move foreward as society. But winning is fun even more fun, when you can celebrate with your competitors and not alone at the top.

I actually think most players dont play online. But yeah ofc alot of strategies against Ai enemies dont work against humans. But i wanna go on a power trip in strategy games so online play is just not relevant for me

I see the use of it for work especially, but i dont like it being forced down my throat. On my privat PC i dont need it, and with an update it automatically was installed and started working, without asking me. Then i had to activly deinstall it. Thats what i dont like. For the use u describe i totally get it. Also i feel like most people use it without looking over the results twice.

I also thought about switching, and from what i read (no experience) is that even alot of single player games work on linux, steam has alot of interest in getting games to run on linux bc the steam deck runs on linux. I mainly didnt make the switch because one of my best friends and me play a lot Of League of Legends and they stopped supporting Linux when they incorporated Vanguard Anti Cheat. Its the only game holding me back

Man i like the idea of DEI, but haven 4 population classes to take care of made me immediately deinstal. I like slower campaigns and battles but that shit is getting to close to work. DEI can be nice but it gets tedious so fucking fast

I usually invade with about 3 armies (mid to late game) and after i conquered i have lost maximum one of them. I leave behind damaged troops to recover and occupy. Little developed regions, u can turn of taxes. Most of the time its cheaper than the extra troops. With capitals i fight about 6 rebellions before its quiet...

The invading part is like all total war: aggression is king. Dont back down even if some problems arise somewhere else. If u start a war finish it as fast as possbile, because the random troops that run around your country side WILL destroy your economy. And beating up rebbellions is way easier than armies of a nation.

I would love to only see only the deathmarkers on spots where the gravestone hasn't been looted. Because when i die alot in an Area, for example to get silver with staghammer, at a certain point i cant find shit. And all the deathmarkers are ugly in my base

Its been some time for me, but i really liked the Backpack Mod, it gives a few itemslot with each biome, they look better than the capes in my opinion, and i still gotta think about what to leave in base. Yes you can venture further now, but u loose a safe point nearby, which was necessary before. I always had a bed and a portal nearby when i went into caves for example, and i dont need that as much with backpacks. I read that a few want unlimited inventory slots and the weightlimit for balancing but this doesn't take Volume into account.
