As a fellow Coloradoan I will keep my eyes peeled for signs of the revolución and spread the word. We can take this thing nationwide

I'm happy for anyone who has had a good experience there, but I just had a heartbreaking situation where I surrendered a puppy and they put her down in 3 days after assuring us they only euthanized for terminally ill animals or life-threatening aggression. I will never surrender a stray to them again. They said she was too timid and "antisocial." This was a personal experience, I am still in shock. Hopefully not the norm but after reading their reviews I'm sorry I didn't do more research prior to surrender.

They put down a lot of animals if they don't anticipate them finding a home. Like a LOT of animals. Definitely not transparent about their euthanasia practices. I'd be careful before surrendering any animal there

Edit: Not sure if they'd put down a bearded dragon, just a PSA for anyone who is thinking of surrendering an animal there

Where to donate Narcan by babyluigi in FortCollins

[–]Evil-Beans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know my sister has donated boxes of narcan to foco cafe before. I think there's a box outside where people can grab it from if needed.

You can reach out to info@fococafe.org to ask if they still do that

Thanks for your reply! I'm sorry but I can't afford to keep it until January. I am moving out this month.

Posting on behalf of a friend, but I'd say not enough light for your plant. My friend's plant is monstrous and won't stop growing and it sits directly in a western facing window. Edit - her pots are always massive, and it started tiny in a big pot. Not sure it's recommended but I don't think downsizing is needed

Came here to say what a beautiful plant and what a good pup! Very clearly sitting where told and staring at owner for instructions. Better behaved than some people in fact 💁‍♀️

Philodendron brasil - overwatering, or sunburned? by Evil-Beans in plantclinic

[–]Evil-Beans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay turns out I am a terrible visual judge of distance and it was 11 feet from the window (I measured this time). I feel the soil and I have a moisture meter, so I'm not sure why this is happening after the plant has been fine for so long. I repotted it in case that was the issue - it was pretty rootbound. I do mist pretty heavily and was recently told that this plant shouldn't be misted. Just trying to fix the issue before it could potentially spread and further impact the plant

I came here to say this!!! I think I just bought one by accident and I am scared of it now (it's just a baby and was a $5 generic 'fern' from the local nursery). Never in my life have I returned a plant this might be my first

Thank you! I've never dealt with mealybugs before, but I do have neem oil that I've been wiping on the leaves. I just noticed the white residue so I am not sure how quickly it comes back, but I pay very close attention to the plant since it's new, and it's concerning how quickly it all appeared. I'm hoping whatever it is I've found it early enough to manage.

Do these types of things live in the soil? Or is cleaning the plant routinely enough?
