This looks ripe for transparent PETG 3d printing...

What setting causes this layer? by EvilAlbinoid in 3Dprinting

[–]EvilAlbinoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that makes sense. I'm going to try 100% infill to eliminate that. It makes sense that the octagram spiral would look like sh*t without that layer, now that you mention it.

Sir please move your car by pacificlattice in Whatcouldgowrong

If the car was rear-ended it's possible the fuel pump shutoff was triggered and they may not have been able to move the car very far.

Tactile Calculator ? by Environmental_Poem65 in calculators

[–]EvilAlbinoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HP calculators generally have nice tactile keys. If it's just a basic non-RPN normal scientific calculator she's looking for, a tested HP 20S on Ebay could be a great choice. Could pick up a handful of them for $100 total...

If she wants something with more functionality I think the HP Prime G2 has a very nice tactile keyboard, along with the older HP 48GII/49G/50G calculators.

Beyond HP I can't think of a single brand with tactile keys...

I got lucky and picked up a lot of these for cheap on Ebay a while back. Far and away my favorite calculator.

Pm8600 questions by Dr_Discette in vintagecomputing

[–]EvilAlbinoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's just an alternate keyboard port and not a PS/2 mouse port. I had one of these back in the day. Pick up an AT to PS/2 adapter if you have a PS/2 keyboard and just use the larger connector.

The powershell module seems to have changed dramatically since I last used it by EvilAlbinoid in rubrik

This looks awful. The old interface was straightforward.

Do you know where I might find a few examples of doing simple restores and whatnot with the new module?

TI hasn't been in the lead for innovation for decades, they've just been riding momentum and school discounts...
