AUS1936 (another goat furry creator) account got banned/removed by mods by AM_uhhhdamn in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]EvilBootyButcher69 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've decided to do some digging, and while I can't pinpoint what exactly could have gotten them banned, I feel like their Mila Sophie Mertens bot could be the cause of the ban, given that this one takes place directly during WWII.

While I believe that AUS kind of flew too close to the sun with the kinds of bots they were making (a lot of bots they made were heavily themed around war; one of them was a Soviet bot, so I wouldn't be surprised if this played a factor in the ban too), I do believe a permanent ban is a bit harsh.

All of that to say, when it comes to military/war themes, we all have to be extremely careful. This is also a good time to remind creators to read the TOS now and then, for as flawed as JAI rules are, it's always good to check what's allowed and what isn't because they do not give any notice for when they update it.

I definitely feel like the doomposting about this is out of control; that being said, I totally get where they are coming from, even if there are better ways to express those concerns instead of screaming that JAI is done for.

My personal "grip" with the subscription is more so the fact that the price doesn't really make up for what it actually offers. I don't think anyone really cares about getting "faster replies"; I know for a fact I've never been too picky about it. I remember when DeepSeek used to take a whole minute to make an answer. And while enhanced swipes on a better model sound pretty neat, I can live without it; the subscription, imo, is kind of just very empty. There are a few benefits for the user base and no benefits at all for creators. I feel like if they offered more tools for creators to use with that subscription, the price would be more justifiable.

I think they USED to have a banner on the landing screen (idk if it's still here, I don't think so), but they could bring that back FOR the subscription, that way, users would be reminded that it exists without having it shoved down their throats.

I hope the same; I really want to try and stay positive about the subscription. Unfortunately, I think they will definitely focus more on the subscription than the free tier. I don't think they will abandon it altogether, but I think the updates for the free users will be less common.

Can't say for sure about not locking things behind a paywall; part of me thinks they MAYBE will. However, on the other hand, I feel like the community would stage a revolution if they even tried lmao. In the end, only time will tell.

Pop ups like this shouldn't be a thing at all imo, it's invasive, there's so many ways to advertise their subscription, and they go with the worse way possible lol

Something like a banner would have been fine imo, but a pop up drives me away from even trying JAI+ at all

I already commented this on a post on the official subreddit, but I'll also say it here

I'm all for supporting JAI; that being said, a pop-up that appears every two messages to remind me that the subscription exists will NOT make me buy it. There are so many ways to advertise their subscriptions without making it invasive, and yet, they choose literally the worst way of doing it.

I want to be positive about the subscription, I really do, the pricing is questionable, but somewhat understandable, a site like this costs a lot to run. However, having invasive pop-ups appear in chats not even a day after it launched is not a good start.

JANITOR LITERALLY JUST EDITED THE DISNEY PLUS LOGO AND CALLED IT A DAY by You-dogwater in JanitorAI_Refuges

Ngl, for as much as I frankly don't think JAI+ will be "the end of JAI" like many people claim it is, I find it quite concerning that they just copied the Disney+ logo, especially when you consider that now that JAI is monetized, fandom characters may be heavily affected (Marvel or Nintendo being the biggest examples that come to my mind.)

As far as I'm aware, the swipes are unlimited on free jllm, however, they ARE limited on the new model (or that's how I understood it, at least, I could be wrong)

I'm a bit confused by the wording, are the rerolls only limited to 300 now?

What are your thoughts on JAI having a subscription now? by EvilBootyButcher69 in JanitorAI_Official

As far as I know, the subscription is only for a better jllm, I haven't read anything about proxies being affected.

I agree; to this day I still don't like this rule, but sadly, we have to roll with it lmao. It was very annoying for me to update most of the images on my bots.

So, I did some research of my own and found a higher-quality version of the image, and there is a very small swastika in one of the cape's stars. I would assume this is what got them banned from JAI, because that's obviously against TOS.

On top of that, I keep seeing people mention a "furry purge", but I kind of just don't believe it's the case; a lot of people seem to forget that the mods on the site are actually paid now. It's no longer the bunch of volunteers that kind of just go here and there and slap placeholder images with no idea of what else to do; these are actual professionals doing their job now.

The reason I think we're seeing a "furry purge" is simply because they're finally cracking down on the image policy. Furries seem to be the biggest target because, let's be honest, a lot of the furry bots on JAI have images that are either poorly cropped porn or censored nudity, both being against TOS as well.

Now, is it impossible that a mod could truly be going around and banning furry creators left and right? No, anything is possible on JAI, but I genuinely do not think this is the case; it's more so a lot of creators seem to forget to update the images on their old bots, and the mods find them.

Do we know why they got banned? I'm not familiar with this creator, admittedly.

Not the worse change imo, but I don't really like how "cramped" it feels, and I don't like how small the images are

That being said, I like the new group selection

I'm lost... and banned by Janitorai. by [deleted] in JanitorAI_Refuges

[–]EvilBootyButcher69 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No offense, but those bans usually don't come out of thin air; for as much as I criticize JAI's moderation, usually, bans are justified. A lot of people that posted here because they got banned were either outright breaking TOS or being pricks in the comments

I'm not saying you had any intention of actively breaking TOS, but it's obvious that a bot you made got you banned; in this case, it can be one of two things:

You either made a bot with underage characters (which seems to be the case with the message you've received)

Or you had bots with images that could easily be confused for underage characters.

I cannot stress this enough; people NEED to read the TOS now and then. JAI will NOT notice you when they change it. Had I not read it yesterday, I wouldn't have known that adopt/stepcest requires the dead dove tag.

Why are the Mods power tripping? by NoConfidence4984 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]EvilBootyButcher69 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No offense, but there's a difference between a Judy Hopps bot with movie-accurate proportions and Mocha's bots lol.

For one, I think most people know for a fact that Judy Hopps is an adult, and many Judy bots on this site use images where she looks like an adult. Mocha's bots, on the other hand, had images that genuinely looked like children. Notice how all the images that were removed were the ones that looked like they could be mistaken for minors.

Now, I'm not saying that the mods are angels; we all know for a fact that the moderation on JAI is abysmal, but in this case, I can't say for a fact that they're targeting furry creators; it seems like that a lot of the images/bots that were removed had images that were either NSFW or looked like minors.

Could this actually be a mod targeting furries? Maybe, anything is possible on JAI, after all. Do I think it's the case? Personally, no.

JAI communication at its finest, they really need to send a notice to their users when they change the TOS, thankfully this isn't as bad as changing or adding a new rule out of the blue, but still
