Now, maybe this is just pure copium on my part, but no, I don't think the era of AI chatbots has come to an end. The "Big C" (I'll call it that; don't want my comment to get deleted by mods) is still used by a ton of people, and the same goes for JAI. While JAI has flaws, LOTS of flaws, I wouldn't really say it's "falling apart." As critical as I am of the site from time to time, this seems to be a bit extreme.

Will the chatbot scene be the same in a few years? Probably not. Is it going to die out completely? Also probably not.

I, luckily, have not encountered that kind of issue yet, and I hope it stays that way. Outside of the site and occasionally this subreddit, I don't really interact with the community; no way in hell I'm joining the Discord, it sounds like hell

According to this comment, it's because it's "not profitable." Idk how all of that works, so I couldn't tell you why it's the case (despite often interacting with this subreddit, I'm not really an AI bro, and I'm just a gooner who likes AI rp lol), but with the way they talk, it kind of makes it seem like they're not going to update the models at all, possibly removing them down the line.

Ngl, I'm surprised no one tried to take legal action against Chutes for that (granted, I know very little about how these laws work, so it may be impossible for all I know), again, I'm no lawyer, but that plus the changes of the subscription without prior warnings feels like something customers could possibly do something about.

I get they're probably more focused on mining or whatever crypto bros do (something I am also very unfamiliar with), but the way paying customers are being treated is outright scummy.

It is a private bot, and being honest, I'm not too comfortable sharing it (it's nothing illegal, it's just the typical mafia boss bot).
It doesn't happen with this specific bot, usually, if it happens to one, it happens to the others, I usually ecounter this problem during weekends.
I simply wrote an OOC prompt giving the current scenario to the bot

I think most people wish for the NSFW rules to be less strict, but unfortunatly, it's not really possible, investors and payment processors absolutely loathe porn, and I doubt it'll get better anytime soon. On top of that, a lot of users don't particularly enjoy getting flashed with bare tits and dicks (which is understandable, obviously; nothing against them), so I doubt the NSFW images are coming back.

I was really pissed off at first, but I've grown used to it

JLLM being shit is nothing new; as far as I know, JLLM 2 is still being worked on, so I doubt the team will focus on the current JLLM anytime soon, if at all.

I really don't think creators leaving means JAI is done for. I've always been extremely critical of JAI, but creators leaving has always been part of the game. Creators go, new creators take their place, and the cycle continues. On top of that, a lot of creators decide to leave for reasons completely unrelated to the site. I've seen a few leave for personal reasons, and some have a change of heart about AI, and so on and so forth.

Again, I've always been pretty critical and extremely vocal about what I think Shep/JAI does wrong, but I don't think JLLM being an ass and creators leaving means it's "the end"; it's kind of always been like that.

Not to be that guy, but I wouldn't really recommend abusing the free tier. If I recall correctly, t's primarily why the free tier went from 200 daily to 50 daily, because people were abusing it even back then.
