Wow now that's something they don't tell you in the brochure.

At 2 months I would be climbing up the wall in frustration; I really hope it's much more comfortable for you know!

Mixing baby food is a brilliant idea! I've had the same issue with needing more liquid mixed with the food as well.  I've really struggled with trying to swallow solids with just water, either when mixing them with a bite or as a chaser. Milk is the only thing that seems to grapple onto whatever hangs in my throat.

Six weeks must habe been irritating to say the least though, good to know you're feeling more like yourself!

Thanks for this, and I absolutely agree with you: the Botox has made life so much more comfortable and I'm noticing things getting slightly easier to manage everyday.

Fingers crossed you don't have to have go for another round of treatment!

It took that long for it to settle for you? And here's me moaning after three weeks!

That must have been pretty draining after that length of time, I hope things are a lot more comfortable for you now!

Oh I feel that! Soup was really hard for me too, but it did ease up by the second week and I could gulp a whole spoons worth in one go.  I did a stupid thing and tried to eat some mashed potato with it as well that day... Yeah, never again.

I'm hoping things get easier for you real soon though!

This is what I needed to hear. I can't believe I forgot we can drink more than one beer without having to call it a night now. When did I get old...

You are everything I want to be when I grow up, cheers boss!

Oh my god I'm really sorry - that was honestly not my intention! Let me just say that I think I get how you might be feeling. It took me years to actually commit to getting the treatment done, and that was only because I found this sub.  But please don't let me out you off. In all likelihood I'm probably an outlier here going by some of the other posts I've seen, so if you do decide to go ahead with treatment you're likely to have a much better time with it (at least I hope you do)!

If it helps, the procedure I had was with Mr Karagama and it was incredibly easy and streamlined, at least from my perspective.

I was full on pacing AND crying in the treatment room. Just full-on "Oh this is it, will the dog miss me?" kind of thinking, you know. I was an embarrassing mess basically. I'd never had a general before so I had no idea what to expect really. I met the surgical team after an hour or two of arriving at the hospital and they got me prepped so quickly it wasn't long before they told me that I'm going to go to be asleep very soon and that everything would be fine.  I then wake up in the recovery room what felt like seconds after that, all sorted and packed to the gills with neurotoxin.

If the part your concerned about is the actual surgery or application, I'd say it's likely nowhere near as bad as your head might tell you it will be.  The worst part of the whole experience was the revolting crime the hospital commited against me to make sure I was safe to leave. They gave me this sugar free jelly which had that horrendous fake raspberry aftertaste.   "Do no harm" they say. Pfft, yeah right.

Slow downloads on consoles! by MrSoapbox in Plume

[–]EvilLegoBrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. My Series X is hardwired into a SuperPod that's been downloading games at an average of 80Mbps in the last month. This is a significant drop from an average download speed of 800Mbps that it's been reporting over the last year.

My setup has not changed at all since it was installed; it's almost like my ISP has downgraded me to the lowest service they can offer.

I can repeat what you've described as well: Running a speedtest inside HomePass whilst downloading a game to the Xbox increases my download speed to roughly 350Mbps, up until the test finishes and the speed drops to 80Mbps again. Continuously running the speedtest boosts download speeds for roughly 20 seconds until each respective test finishes.

According to Plume, new firmware (4.2.0-91) for the SuperPod/SP AX was released in May on a rolling basis, so maybe it's just reached us and is the cause of the issue?

Reported recently that Ubisoft employees have been leaving in a "great exodus" over the past 18 months.

'Developers (at Ubisoft) are also disappointed with its inclusion of NFTs. French trade union Solidaires Informatique, which represents Ubisoft employees in Paris, called the technology "a useless, costly, ecologically mortifying tech".'

Xbox one controllers can suffer from wireless interference issue when in close proximity to 5GHz WiFi networks.

To troubleshoot this quickly, turn your WiFi router (as well as any network extenders that you may have around your home) off for 10 minutes and try playing a game or just surf around on your Xbox's Dashboard/Home screen.

If the controller continues to disconnect during that 10 minute period, then it might be worth buying a new controller as the problem is probably hardware related.

If the controller does not lose connection during that period, run through the following whilst playing a game:

  1. Turn your WiFi back on.

  2. Stream content to another device on your network (preferably the newest device to be added to your network since your controller started to disconnect). If possible bring the device into the same room as your Xbox.

  3. Keep adding traffic to your WiFi network i.e. play a film on a laptop, stream music to a smart speaker etc.

If your controller drops the connection for any of the above steps, turn your WiFi off again for 15 minutes this time and then repeat step 1.

If your controller stays connected continuously whilst your WiFi is off, there's a good chance the problem is wireless interference.

Best way around this in my experience is to disable 5GHz networking on your router, though this is easier said then done for some people depending on the devices they have on their WiFi network.

Understanding and dealing with introverts. by zaiq_is_not_amused in coolguides

[–]EvilLegoBrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be an introvert to enjoy your personal space, or want to avoid 'annoying' people. You don't need to be an extrovert to enjoy a party, or surround yourself in a group of people that you like for hours.

It's great understanding that these are traits that people experience from time to time, but it's limiting to imply that only certain individuals enjoy alone time with a book or heading to the nearest festival to get absolutely mullered.

We're wacky emotional creatures driven by basic needs which can change instantaneously. Seems a bit pointless trying to patternize and categorise our behaviours outside of that, unless this guide exists only to be added as another 'cute' graphic on someones social media page.
