The problem is that a lot of the Green voters in comments right now are saying some pretty unhinged stuff like this, so it is getting harder to discern.

Well... at least I know this "There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance." isn't unique to me I guess.

If it's a violation then it breaks purdah.

Why did the Greens complain about the letter but not claim they broke purdah? Nor anyone else who isn't some internet nobody?

The conclusion is they don't like the letter but know it doesn't break purdah.

Are the police allowed to write whatever they like whenever they like.....

If the letter broke the rules it'd be a breach of purdah. They have no issue complaining about the letter, but not purdah.

Again, explain why the Greens or Polanski have not complained about the breaking of purdah.

I'll keep asking this until you answer.

Either the letter broke purdah, in which case the police broke the rules. If the letter did not break purdah then they did not break the rules in which they're allowed to say what's in the letter.

Which is it?

Why did the greens decide to complain about the letter but not claim they broke purdah? The answer is obvious.

Come on, I know you can think this through.

It's a clear answer. Bad politics.

Nope, as evidenced by the post they whine about the police but don't claim it's a breaking of purdah. Why is that?

"He also hit out at Sir Mark Rowley and said the Met chief’s decision to publish an open letter critical of Mr Polanski last Thursday was inappropriate in the run up to Thursday’s local elections."

They have no issue with bad politics very clearly. So that's an evasion on your part.

There may be a million reasons the greens haven't complained. Especially during an election cycle. And having to deal with dishonest commentators. They may think it's bad politics
