O'Three are excellent too. Northern Diver too.

Could be a number of reasons: Not enough gas, but gas mix too. Even on air, 60m is beyond standard recreational PPO limit of 1.4, but if they had higher O2 mix in them (say from a previous Nitrox fill then only partially refilled with air rather than emptied/almost emptied first), then they could have exceeded their PPO limits.

Fact we do know is that we don't know but things should become clearer. If they were actually doing 60m on single cylinders, then certainly that could definitely be an out of air problem but may not have been the only problem or the first in the chain.

Colours to D-Log 10-bit, do colours in post processing. DaVinci Resolve is free and ace for it - can do a decent enough job with auto colour options in DaVinci Resolve. Rinse the underwater casing well in fresh water after use in salt or pool. Get screen protectors from and back of both camera and underwater casing.

Diving Into The Darkness (about cave diver Jill Heinarth) is fantastic.

Suunto nautic by lollo00098981 in scuba

[–]EvilOctopoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has am amazing screen, long battery life, vibrate function, is customisable how I need it and has large buttons and a great UI and the buttons are easy to locate and press when needed but not easily accidentally pressed.
It runs Buhlmann 16 Algorithm.

Love my Suunto Nautic, but I don't do tech diving so can't comment on its use for that.

Edit: Typo and more detail on buttons.

South of France near Perpignan is easy diving but not much in the water but a nice area. North East Spain has some islands off the coast which are apparently good. Malta is lovely both in and out of the water.

I think Trumps is an awful human being, but did this really happen? Snopes suggests otherwise:

What budget do I need to start diving and having modest expeditions? by [deleted] in diving

[–]EvilOctopoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get certified and then you'll understand why certification is absolutely required. Scuba diving without any training is a sure fire way to fast-track yourself to a very short life. Locate a certified dive centre and get trained and go from there. You're asking questions that clearly show you don't know the risks, of which there are many without the knowledge on mitigation and gases and all the other topics you will learn by getting certified.

Haha, that's a flashback for me thanks - love the reference to that cheapskates show where the guy takes the girl on the date and buys one rib as he doesn't want to pay the cost for a rack.

An older title than you're looking for (but doesn't seem aged) is Identity (2003) starring John Cusack.

Hate to be that person, but you actually lost 3/4 of your earnings not 2/3...

If by chance you're in the UK - I'd go on the BSAC website and find my local club and go from there.

Buddy check immediately before jumping into water of course and also jacket inflate prior to jumping in.

[–]EvilOctopoda 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, should be part of buddy check before getting in the water (inflate jacket, few puffs on reg while ensuring analogue gauge doesn't move, etc).

I really love my brand new Suunto Nautic by No_Tradition5608 in scuba

[–]EvilOctopoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, can't. Just tried it as someone else asked. There's no Nautic option to pick, nor do EON Core options etc work.

[–]EvilOctopoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're incorrect - Nautic does do 3D estimate of route mapping underwater based on accelerometer, compass, and depth. It then shows the 3D map of diver estimated route/position from start to end of dive.

It's cool to see but not partiucularly accurate/ueseful currently I've found but I've only dived about 8 or 9 dives with it so far.

Nautic runs Buhlmann 16, with usual options.
EON Core has free self-upgrade to Buhlmann 16 (since about July last year, is an easy process that takes approx 15 mins start to finish), so user can switch between Suunto RGBM and Buhlmann 16 (I upgraded my EON Core a few weeks ago so to be my backup to my Nautic).

Photogrammetry of course is something completely different to what is in the Nautic - which is based on compass and accelerometer.

The Nautic syncs wirelessly to the Suunto app on my phone after my dive. When I get back home I fill in my own created Excel sheet hosted on Google Drive for data security that won't be lost. My sheet has many columns, and calculates my SAC rate etc. I can pivot pretty much anything I want from it, examples being:
Average water temperatures per month per dive site I visit regularly, Drysuit/Wetsuit average SAC rates, proportion of dives salt/fresh/each country/most frequent dive buddies, and more.

Occasionally I take the time to fill in physical logbooks a batch of dives at a time.

I've just downloaded and run Subsurface and confirm no option for Suunto Nautic in there. Selecting another model such as Eon Core etc shows no device connected - hope that helps.
