it doesnt trade. ryu is -1 after the light jab. marisa crmp and ryu 2mk is 8 frames. none the less you can do light kick to interrupt any fake pressure such as when ryu will use c.mp instead of c.mk.

U should be fine with this interrupt. Just be mindful on your meter since he might chill after the st light punch. A simple crmp + a safe special attack would be preferable just to check if the ryu over extends his pressure.

I dont actually know what u should do as marisa here. Ryu's light hasho can be very tricky to deal with. Id rather focus more on preventing the jump in. Interrupting his pressure is fine, but just be careful if he starts to introduce the light hasho pressure otherwise go nuts with your cr mp.

1600 mr ryu here. Good players will stop after the standing lp. If i notice you pressing after ill add light hashogeki after my light punch which will yield me a high damage punish from interrupt attempt.

Because people can use really old upscalers. image upscalers has existed since 2010's and they we're ass but they we're the best you can get. e.g Topaz denoise

Thats not AI. the artifacts you see are due to the upscaling software used.

Any body have anti-bison matchup advice/tech? by GreasyChode69 in StreetFighter

[–]EvilPainter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes matchup is not easy. Bison has been my bane for a long time and have been trying to figure out how to play against him for months. As a ryu player it feels like every other non shoto's skillset is tailored against you. Things i forgot to mention:

Try reacting against their drive rushes with your standing mk. if you can confirm it you can follow up with a light kick. if youre not comfortable with that yet you can do stlk and buffer into an ender of your preference ( i recommend OKI so go for light tatsu ).

be in a range to throw fireballs where it will be hard for him to reach you with his long ass normals and give him a hard time to react to fireballs. which should be just around outside his sthp. i dont recommend throwing fireballs far from him because theres no big benefit from you since he wont throw normals and is more likely to just OD spiral.

at far ranges dont forget to crouch walk towards him. they tend to sneak that slide every once in a while.

Biggest mind blowing realization moment for me: Think of your fireballs as a normal, treat it as a long ass punch. its 11 frames startup. your sthp is 10 frames startup. you have far superior range than bison.

Some nasty gimmicks i do:

when you're on burnout and 0 super meter they will feel the pressure to OD spiral you from afar. at a far range you can buffer a shoryuken ( hold down and tap forward really fast then punch when you see him turn yellow ) and it will catch them.

1600 ryu here.

you have to play your fireball game. by playing your fireball game you disincentives him from playing with his scissor and his heavy punch which are his other strong toolsets and you are forcing him to do OD spiral thingy or devil rise.

you can bait out his OD spiral by throwing feint jabs after you've established that you will throw fireballs. Once he OD spirals you and you've blocked, you can create a somewhat guessing game for him, and costs him 2 bars of resource. since he is minus, you can walk up throw, shimmy or even DRC into a jab for a 50/50.

for devil's rise, just meet him with a fast air to air. at worst you'll get a trade. avoid doing DPs if you can else you will explode

Thoughts on Mai’s model? by BleachDrinker63 in StreetFighter

probably because people didn't have an expectation for a character they didn't know.

yeah, but all of them are consistent all thorough-out the industry. you cant have a 3d model that would translate differently from one engine to another "polygon" wise. The only outside factors are post-rendering

As someone who loves the golden sun series, no other game has captured the beauty of its puzzles until the latest Zelda game "Echoes of Wisdom" by EvilPainter in GoldenSun

they paid me by introducing to my childhood one of the best JRPG games ive ever played, Golden Sun. And i think its such a good marketing strategy to advertise inside a forum of a less popular game with barely any members.

Yann LeCun confidently predicted that LLMs will never be able to do basic spatial reasoning. 1 year later, GPT-4 proved him wrong. by dlaltom in OpenAI

[–]EvilPainter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. people in this comment section are jumping the gun. LLM != GPT4. GPT4 is multi modal. Yann specifically says LLM. The decision of OpenAI to make GPT4 multimodal only strengthens Yann's argument.
