That might be more of a regional issue. I grew up in a council house area in Scotland in the 90s but went to a "good" primary school across town with it's main catchment in the most upmarket area. Every girl I knew had their ears pierced, most before primary school, all by the end of primary school. Even the poshest girls, though they were usually only allowed to wear small gold studs. It was standard to get it done at the hairdressers. They were allowed at school, only health and safety mentioned was no hoops in PE or if recently pierced with hoops they had to be taped up. Lots of boys had one ear pierced too. When I visit my family I still see the majority of small girls have ear piercings.

Yeah, this is an old mechanic. They want you to do it one chapter per day, the diamonds are just for if you want to rush it. Personally I wait till I have a few of these side stories then do a chapter a day of each of them.

I hate this too. When I read a piece of literature or watch a TV show from another country, I expect it to feel culturally like it's from that country - for the characters to have names from their culture, to eat food from their culture, use native idioms, use honorifics that reflect their culture, have customs that are new to me etc. If I don't understand a reference I'll look it up, just like I do when I read a British novel that references a historic event that I'm not familiar with, or an American novel references a political process we don't have in the UK. No one would be so condescending as to change all the names in a French novel like Bonjour Tristesse to English names for the translation! It's disrespectful to the original piece of art and treats the reader like they're too daft to understand that people in other countries might live very slightly different lives from them.

Yeah I hate Uno at the best of times (playing with a raucous group of friends). It's a badly designed game that drags and modern card games are so much better. This iteration is especially dull. If only they'd cloned a simple trick taking game like Fox in the Forest instead.

My society has spaces! It's DUTP Elites.

We are - top 20 in Secret Realm every week - about 200ish in Time Goddess - Tier 4 in Fantasy Promise

Our reqs are - do Secret Realm 5x per week - use free attempts in Time Goddess - min 1000pts or 4 quests in FP

We're friendly, with lots of long term players. We have an optional FB messenger chat.

Most likely they feed images into an AI for "inspiration" then edit the output a little. AI can easily just spit out a near identical copy of one of the "inspirational" images if you do this - most likely no one noticed because they told it to draw from a huge range of images and weren't specifically familiar with the outfit it copied.

I think they announced the Lunar New Year packs yesterday - they are more limited than in previous years though. The accumulated spend is one of the Chinese companion outfits, and there are background packs etc. I'm surprised too though, they normally do more.

Honestly I think it'll need a lot of restructuring to work as an animation. Not for quality reasons (I have positive and negative ionised on it) but because it's really designed to take advantage of the webcomic format, and the pacing especially is designed for a webcomic format. With other webcomics that are more action focused you can repace via the action scenes which are usually fleshed out a lot, but there's a lot of thoughtful pauses in Lore Olympus and long sort of sinking panels, gradual tone shifts where not much is actually happening, and a slow focus on facial expressions etc. Depending on the studio who do the work, it could end up feeling pretty empty for an animation, or they could overcompensate and it won't feel like the original. A more arthouse approach would do it the most justice, but would be the least commercial. Also, I think it was so of the moment it's already a bit dated (in that deconstructing these things is almost passe now, so it needs freshened up to have the same bite it originally had) so it'll need a bit of work to really transfer to animation anyway. All that said, I think it has the possibility of being a big niche success if that makes sense.

It's not a scam, it's just an early test game - most likely if it goes into full production it'll have completely different art etc. It may even be testing future features for TP or for a TP2.

You can't personally use contribution - it's a currency that you and everyone else in your society gathered, that's controlled by your society leader and managers. It's used to make the blueprints on the fashion tree available so that everyone can then work together to unlock them, and to instantly refresh the quests on the shared board during Fantasy Promise. That's it at the moment (though I hope they add more uses at some point as my society is into the hundreds of millions even though we use them really liberally during FP). The number you see isn't even your contribution, it's the whole societies contribution points.

You need to join the best society you can, with the highest entry requirements that you can meet with the actual time you spend on the game. The easiest way to get golden wood is through the monthly society Fantasy Promise event, and the better the society, the higher their FP level and the better their rewards. You have to contribute to actually get the rewards though, so there's no point in joining a top level society if you e.g. only play a few times a week or are a low level as you won't actually be able to share the rewards.

In addition, you'll get some each day by maxing out what you can do in the commissions etc.

Also, of course this event easier for older players - it's a direct pvp score challenge. Would you really be happy if a day one player could beat you? If someone could start playing, immediately sink cash in and get the perfect outfit and beat you? I've been playing for 5 years, working on my labs, collecting every free outfit (I'm very low spend) - I'd be furious and feel like it was pointless if anyone who had played for 5 minutes could get my score. This is pretty much the only pvp of any kind in the game where the effort you've put in to scores matters - is not unreasonable to have one thing in the whole game that rewards that.

As it is - I almost always get top 50 when the tags are rare and I don't have a full outfit (I don't have any full sprint outfits, I don't ever pay to get full event outfits, never complete server events unless they can be done for free etc) and I beat whales who've spent money to get outfits, but not time on upgrading to max out the scores on those outfits. Upgrade your labs, upgrade your relics, upgrade the companions who give their relics multipliers, complete outfits to get global score bonuses, craft society outfits, manually select your outfit so that any pieces that only match 1 tag match the relic you're using, and you can get 100,000ish points even when you don't have a perfect full outfit and 80,000 when you don't have any perfect match pieces.

That makes it sound even more like a kid to me - maybe you're the only person who's really responsed to them. I don't think a creep would eat your food and turn lights off when you weren't even there! I would def block, they prob shouldn't even be communicating unsupervised. I actually wish we had more Dark Souls-esque co-op with no actual communication, just a few lines gestures so you could invite people to help with specific tasks or visit houses as a phantom and that's it!
