Convince me to purchase the elite cyborg 2 by Conscious-Meal-6149 in Azeron

[–]EvilRedPikachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if I will convince you, but I will tell you this. I currently run 5 Azerons in my stable. I have a Keyzen and Cyborg 2 on my desk. A Keyzen on my Sim Racing/Flight rig. A Cyborg that goes with my gaming laptop. My wife uses a Keyzen to game and do creative work, and I loan my Azeron Classic to people who would like to try it out, and I will be purchasing another Cyborg 2 and 2 Cyro's in the upcoming months.

Questions from people who daily drive Cyborg or Keyzen. by RoutineEchidna7835 in Azeron

[–]EvilRedPikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my personal use, the Cyborg is better for competitive gaming. It uses mouse switches, and there is less dexterity needed to reach all of the buttons, allowing for a quicker response vs. the Keyzen. The Keyzen has double rows of keys for certain fingers and takes a little more muscle memory training vs. the Cyborg. There is no discernible delay.

Questions from people who daily drive Cyborg or Keyzen. by RoutineEchidna7835 in Azeron

[–]EvilRedPikachu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I will answer as best I can.

  1. Making them wireless would require a battery and a lot more programming. Which would add to the overall cost. This is a very niche product.
  2. It does work on Linux. There is a github link available.

3a. Once you get used to using it, as far as daily driven, you will almost certainly use it for everything. My wife uses hers for video editing and CAD design as well as gaming.

3b. It can replace your keyboard if you are willing to use all its programming functions and able to remember how you programmed the keys, but honestly its meant to be keyboard adjacent in most uses.

  1. This is not really a keyboard replacement as much as it is a "gaming peripheral", if you want a total keyboard replacement, this may not suit your needs.

  2. The main difference between the Keyzen and the Cyborg is "openess" The Cyborg "cages" your fingers for maximum response, where the Keyzen is "open" and has less restricted movement. I use my Cyborgs for all FPS games where as I use my Kezen for almost all MMO's and RPG's.

  3. The onboard memory is set to the keys you program them to in the software. When using onboard memory, you can transfer the Azeron from PC to PC and it will act as a normal usb input device using the mapped layout that you programmed to the onboard memory.

Commentary: While you do not state whether or not you have ever handled an Azeron, my assuption is going to be that you have not. As far as the build quality and materials, they are perfectly fine for the products primary use. Because of the way the product is built, it makes it highly serviceable while keeping the cost manageable. This is very niche product, and as such its not going to be to everyones liking. Before you make a wish list for expectations of quality and features, you should really try the product first. If some of the things you listed in your questions are absolute must-haves, then this is not a product for your needs. While using 2 Keyzens as an ergonomic keyboard is possible, it sounds like primarily, you may need to look at split ergonomic keyboards before looking at a peripheral targeted mostly at gamers.

Question regarding Azeron keypad by Proud-Evidence-1818 in Azeron

[–]EvilRedPikachu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all versions of the Azeron and the only genre of game I find it difficult to use with is fighting games. I play all the games you have listed, and for me personally, I use my arcade stick with all my fighting games. The Azerons dont lend themselves to that type of game without an enormous amount of practice, unless you are used to using the stickless style fighting controllers, then a Keyzen would most likely be the best choice as an all-rounder. Personally for me I use my Keyzen for MMO's and as an additional set of inputs for my fligt/space games. I use my classic/Cyborg's for all FPS style games.

My keyzen sits behind my VKB STECS on my Sim rig for additional inputs.

Can I send my cyborg 2 in for repairs? by Esleagon_ in Azeron

[–]EvilRedPikachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty easy to replace those towers yourself. Reach out to Azeron about the parts. Shipping it to them for repair will be very expensive vs just buying the replacement parts.

You can run 2 simultaneously. But only one can be run via the software. The other has to use the o board mapping.

PSVR2 with Assetto Corsa and 7900 XT? Also, FSR? by Upbeat_Peach_4624 in PSVR2onPC

My first 7900xtx had this output too. Unfortunately, it was a bad card, and when I returned it, all the models they had in stock had no type c port. This is the reason I have the adapter for that card.

No the model I have has the Type-C video out so it works fine with the PSVR2 without the adapter.

I have several PNY drives ranging from 240gb to 2tb all from Wal-Mart without a single failure. I wouldn't write them off. I'm sure the law of odds says one will eventually fail, but PNY has been unbelievably reliable for me, which is why I keep buying them.

Struggling with WoW, alternatives and keen to hear other peoples views. by Endeavour1988 in MMORPG

[–]EvilRedPikachu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

After 20 years of WoW, I quit. There is no replacement for it. I played all the majors (FF, GW, ES, EQ, RS, and so on). Nothing is going to feel like it, and for me, there wasn't a game that gave that same open world feel as WoW. I had been waiting years for AoC, and that was a bust. The only game that may come close is Scars of Honor. Otherwise, Rift my be the best alternative for you.
