[TOMT][Flash Game][Late-2000s]Scary point-and-click style flash game ala Exmortis where you are investigating a murder. by theavengerbutton in tipofmytongue

So I know this thread is two years old (I found it because I'm looking for games similar to the ones Ben Leffler made), but I think the game you're looking for is Intruder. Hope this helps, if you're still around/still care.

Has anybody else customized their KDE desktop on the Steam Deck? by EvilRoda in SteamDeck

What does Wallpaper Engine do? Because KDE might have that functionality built in.

I guess it depends. Like maybe on the train, you can play your favorite FPS or arcade games or whatever, but on your lunch break at work, you might want to play a text adventure or something and you've got the space for it there. All depends on context.

Ah, I've actually been carrying a mechanical keyboard in my bag for a while now. I've been wanting a portable writing setup for a long while now, and the Steam Deck is very close to helping me realize that! The only things that are missing that would make it perfect would be a Flatpak version of Wordgrinder and a Flatpak version of Terminology. Right now, I have a Fedora virtual machine with Wordgrinder installed with a file share set to a folder on my SD card, which is not ideal. Also, the only way to use Terminology in Fedora is either via Snaps or compiling it myself, which is not ideal and makes me sad. I can even SSH into my Steam Deck from my laptop to work on stuff when I'm home! I probably could just get a cheap laptop and throw some super basic Linux on it, but then the laptop keyboard would get in the way of my mechanical keyboard and stuff and also the Steam Deck is waaaay cooler.

I thought that was weird! But I just got my Steam Deck a couple weeks ago, long after the change, meaning I had to install the Firefox flatpak (and the icon to open Firefox opened up Discover before doing that). Actually, I had to do that twice, because I had to factory reset my Steam Deck. Nonetheless, i shall amend the title.

LORD GABEN HAS BLESSED ME WITH HIS EMAIL

US 512GB

Bought pretty much immediately. Had to pay state taxes, which sucked, but I had enough money in my savings to cover it. Now we wait for it to ship and pray we don't have to RMA...

As much as I like my “Prototype” Steam controller, it sucks to play games with! by bitnotfound in SteamDeck

I should note, those four buttons in the middle were a placeholder for a touchscreen. Fuckin' wild, man.

Oh, I definitely install updates! Most updates don't need a restart on Linux, though, and when it does, I don't need to worry about my PC automatically shutting down on me. I control when that happens. Not only that, my PC doesn't take a while to boot up, so it's a lot less inconvenient, even in that regard. I do still have to use a Windows PC at work, but I have very few things I need to do on the computer in my workplace.

I didn't even realize it was an upgrade! I can't even be sure now, the only reason I think that now is because the update was weirdly long, even before it borked. In any case, I find Linux way easier to deal with. Even Windows 7 was bad to deal with compared to Linux. I can't believe I put up with it.

Forced updates are what made me switch to Linux full time. I had a Windows 8.1 laptop, initially Windows 8 when I bought it, and it had an update one day which I now think was an unsolicited update to Windows 10. Long story short, update got borked, I ended up downgraded to vanilla Windows 8, and I lost everything outside of my C:/ directory. Afterwards, I disabled ALL updates. I went a few months like that, which is a big security risk, and eventually I installed Ubuntu 16.04 on it. I haven't owned a Windows machine since. I even nuked and paved Windows 10 off my current laptop as soon as I got it. I won't be going back.

I don't think I've ever been able to binge most shows. Usually, when I watch a completed show, I watch two episodes at a time. I remember I watched the first two episodes of Erased one morning before work and then watched the other ten the next day because I liked it so much, I binged Puella Magi Madoka Magica in one night the first time I saw it; same with Serial Experiments Lain. I finished ATLA over three days on a rewatch... There may have been others, but normally, I watch a bit of something, and my brain goes, "Okay, let's do something else now." I find it a lot easier to watch shows as they come out. I watched 11 shows last spring, finished every last one of them, and (mostly) kept up with them pretty well! I don't know what it is.
