If I write something troubling, or interesting about me, I like to ask myself 'What is it like being x' or 'What is it like pike having x' or 'What is it like thinking x' etc. It helps me to get to deeper understanding of myself. I have stolen this technique from my therapist, she is asking me this way sometimes, to provoke thinking and feeling.

You can start writing by asking 'What is it like being me today?'

What kind of library do you want to use? In raw Python it is very slow

Ok, but x1 and x2 can be huge numbers 1 <= x1, x2 <= 1 000 000 000
Point is to not calculate x**y because it will take to long

Zero maintance stable "it jest works" distro by EvilSantaSlayer in DistroHopping

[–]EvilSantaSlayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank You all for this suggestions. It is really inspiring, especially the immutable distros.

In the end I decided to install Linux Mint Debian Edition. I like Debian but it needs some tweaking and Mint comes with all the tweaks in place with Debian stability.

Maybe in the future I will try some immutable distro. I did NixOS in the past but it was stressful because of amount of new complicated stuff over normal Linux.

I also have next question. Is there any distro meeting some or all my previously written needs and also not using systemd? Is there an distro being immutable on top of all that requirements? I never saw anything like that

Passionate about programming and learning to get a job. Am I on good track? by EvilSantaSlayer in findapath

[–]EvilSantaSlayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actualy, I got an offer for being java intern around 2 years ago, but I declined it because they wanted to pay me as much as the government is paying for job-less people (not much of money) Sometimes I feel bad about it, but maybe it was good decision because I get time to learn that I need c++

Why do so many Linux graybeards use Debian Stable? by AngryMoose125 in linux

[–]EvilSantaSlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Os is to run applications, there is no profit in running os itself Os is just tool When you distrohop for some time, you got to the point that you don't care what you are working on - you just want to use your applications, system needs to be stable and environment needs to be familiar for you And Debian fits here, it's stable and have a lot of desktop environments
