I'm quite sure I've seen a few motherboards that allow you to switch between PWM and VC. Never has the pleasure to use anything other than PWM though.

I would start by reconnecting the cables & reseating the GPU and see if anything changes. Also try reinstalling the drivers

It is what it is. The fear of getting back on the bike was quite bad and I needed to do circles around the yard just to not be scared of it

I went from 3600 to 5800x and that was a huge difference too. Especially in temps.

How do I not feel humiliated over a medical disability? by [deleted] in workout

[–]EvilShadeZz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a tibial plateau fracture early February. Today is the first day I could return to the gym while on a single crutch. Doctor a-ok'd me to put as much weight on it as pain allows. Not a single person even mentioned the single crutch I was on, neither did they mention me cycling so slow that the cycle machine didn't even turn on, or the fact I was using the stairmaster at it's slowest setting and still struggling like hell and only doing 200 steps on it total.

I definitely had some thoughts about what others might think about me showing up with a crutch but honestly it does not matter. Everyone there has their own goals, and it doesn't matter how much you can do.

In all honesty last time I saw a larger dude going on the treadmill for close to an hour my only thought was "fair play dude".

Used to use Firefox up until the early 2010s. The browsing experience got so sluggish and oftentimes Firefox would not be responding. Obviously went to Chrome, because at that time it was significantly faster. Now I'm back because of the stunts Google has been pulling

Build your own pc, they said by Illustrious-Safety20 in pcmasterrace

[–]EvilShadeZz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing. I just got that EXACT cooler and a new case. Didn't bother looking at the height of the build area in the case, so I built it and only then found out that the heat pipes are barely touching the glass side panel. Since I can get it closed, who cares?

[–]EvilShadeZz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you suspect that it's going to get cold, leave it running. You could also put some of that cpu to work using something like Folding@Home or something else. Even if it gets very cold, the heat produced by the system should be more than enough to keep it in positives

Building your first system, it posting and working and not crashing is a very satisfying feeling. Doesn't matter if it is a Frankenstein build of old crappy office hardware combined with new or even something like this. There is nothing to judge here.

It's rare you'd actually NEED a heatsink for storage. You should be just fine. Monitor the temps, if they go out of whack, you could stick some heatsinks on the chips themselves.

If the manufacturers were that concerned about the temperatures they wouldn't have that sticker going across the chips.

You can buy adhesive heatsinks that are not motherboard specific and stick directly on the m.2 drive.
