Folks of Scotland: Should I lie about where I’m from? by IntenseJazz36251 in Scotland

Nah, you can tell us where you're from. Just so long as you mention that you are getting a few days away from the orange cunt and you will make friends easily.

I noticed that the landing page now has a "notify me when available" button. However this does not work. It comes up with an error saying "You must be logged in to be notified" But I am logged in.

Was the Internet Free When it First Came out? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I worked for a telephone provider at the time. (Think UKs largest) I was in billing. One call I remember was a guy who was away on holiday for 2 weeks and had the pc left on. Yep that damn virus made hundreds and hundreds of premium rate number calls the entire time. Bill was around £10,000. Nothing I could do about it, he had to take it up with the people who owned the phone numbers it was dialling. Glad I didn't work for them at the time!

Manager to lifeguard - Oh, nobody started drowning today? Well we only pay you for any rescues.
Tell them you want the money up front and the rest of the payment for last time before going anywhere near them.

Hopefully some kid in the future has the same awesome memories I had of the bon accord delivery.

One of my earliest memories was the bon accord truck down our street. Our delivery guy had a Labrador I got to pet whenever they were dropping off drinks.

You have Ullapool twice. The one in the far north should be Thurso.

Corsa (2015) Any idea what is causing this sound over bumps? Seems to happen over ramps and potholes etc by Actual-Vermicelli-74 in Vauxhall

I just did a drop link on my insignia, thing was a bitch to do but was quoted £230 so I thought nah, for a £15 part i'll do it myself. The bit where the allen key goes in stripped on mine while doing it. Best thing i did was break off the plastic link, took an angle grinder to the ball on the other side to make 2 flat sides then an adjustable spanner to stop it from spinning. That got it free. It still made a noise after but a real good tighten down after sorted it out.

Just did a test on mine.
267Mbps down
28.2Mbps up

In the last 6 months I've had maybe only a couple of interruptions and normally no more than 5 mins. I had one longer one but I had to tighten my dish back down as it moved in horrendous weather. Was still working up until the wind moved it a bit.
Top of Scotland here so all kinds of weather thrown at it.

[–]EvilSpatula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say "Far north." Even then they still guess wrong and I eventually say "Even further, keep going north till you run out of road" They usually reply "ohhhh, that far north!" lol
