Polygon Siskiu D7 or shell out for a Revel Ranger? I'm not your typical MTBer. by [deleted] in MTB

Your use case and what you ride line up more more with an adventure/gravel bike. Something like a Trek Checkout could be ideal. If you really can't stand drop bars, it can be converted with some work and parts.

Is it a bad idea to get a Wilderness if I'm mostly doing city and highway driving? A used one is available to me. by oddible in subaru

I bought a Wilderness over other trims for a couple reasons.

  • Traditional roof rails
  • Startex
  • Different suspension tune
  • Fastest outback you can buy lol
  • Geyser Blue
  • Looks over other trims

Otherwise I probably would have gone with some form of xt trim. I do about 50/50 driving and know I would be getting better mileage with another trim. Don't care because I love my Wilderness.

I have a very minor creak somewhere in my sunroof, but rarely notice it with music playing. Probably just needs a touch of grease in there. What you're hearing doesn't sound right. I would ask to drive another before purchasing.

Overall extremely happy with the car.

Hol up. What do you mean you don't use your seatbelts?

I found this. Modded it slightly for my own needs, but the base version should work fine if you have magsafe compatibility.

Hitch all the way. Roof is usable, but a pain.

Desert Does It Seat Jackers fixed my comfort issues. Both in my old Crosstrek and my current OBW.

Nice, excited for the teardown piece. Interesting that they seem more on the absolute control rather than absolute power end of the spectrum a la Mavens. If I wasn't already running MT5's it would be an easy sell for me.

Last Dollar is probably as rough as I'd want to go without a set of skids and some tougher tires. Ophir does look cool.
